Fishman artists Ken Susi and Buz McGrath from the band Unearth demo the Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker 7-String electric guitar pickups. Ken is using the Nickel pickups in Voice 1 with his ESP KS-7 guitar. Buz is using the Black Plastic pickups in Voice 1 with his ESP BUZ-7 guitar.

To some of the negative comments.. saying this isn't music.. Go to an unearth show. Try not to get into it, try not to move your head to the groove. If you haven't played a seven string and have nothing to compare it to, then don't. I and I'm sure many others agree this is a very good show of tone in and out of the mix. 2 sevenstrings going at it can get very lost and muddy. I hear no loss of quality here. Just my opinion. hope not to affend anyone, cheers

Someone with knowledge please. Does it make sense 2 guitar players with the same pickups in a band? They are producing the same frequencies from their pickups. Wouldn't sound fuller if both use different pickups?

no because I think there amp tones are different, so even with same pickups they sound slightly different.

+Gabriel Frison Amp tone, slightly different eq, mic placement, and just the individuality of the player in general adds different nuances for different tones that help the mix sound fuller.

Tone??? I can't hear any tone other than the chugga-chugga of a bloodied chain saw with an occasional sweep-pick thrown in. There isn't anything remotely "musical" about this demo, or this "music." How the hell can anyone say this Fishman tone is good, bad, or indifferent? To each his own, but this crap isn't to my taste at all.

4stringkingstf In fairness this is one of the chug heavy songs from the new album, but I believe it was selected on purpose. Many people feel 7-string pickup technology hasn't really proven itself yet, and this appears to be an example of how Fishman's keep their tone quite well. I'm also assuming you're not a big fan of metal, specifically this vein of metal, so how could you possibly be a judge of quality in regards to what these pickups can do? No offense.

Guaranteed there is nothing "musical" about what you listen to. Probably just a simple generic bass line, regular rock sounding guitars, vocals/yarling that sounds like everyone else, and some simple ass drums. I am halfway joking, but seriously.. Someone who comes in here just to blab about how much this isnt to their taste, probably doesn't have much of an open mind to truly acknowledge that ALL music is subjective. Now run along, and go play in traffic for all I care.

First of all, you're clearly not a guitar player as there are no sweeps in this play through or even an arpeggio. Secondly, you can't shit on something and then say "each to their own" to try and make it okay.
