There was something hidden on the other path, but don't feel bad, because so far, you have missed tons of secrets and hidden items and will continue to miss them as most players do, especially, the players that are only interested in the main story only. That's why it always takes me 10 times the amount of time to "Complete" games, because I search every nook and cranny and 100% the game and then some. Anyway, the main thing is having fun and playing games our way, whichever way that might be.

That’s what I don’t really like about that game though, there are so many hidden paths but they don’t give you hints or even make it obvious, so it just turns tedious when you’re backtracking and trying to find stuff. And in a lot of areas everything looks the same so it’s hard to know where you’re going.

Got it on pc today and already completed the Taro quests, this game is so much fun. It also has a lot of replay value since there’s so much collectibles I’ve already had some areas where I just moved on cause I couldn’t find all the collectibles in one go.

One more thing,... You have to unlock access to many of the hats, by finding them in secret and hidden locations, just like many of the rots and other perks and items are hidden too. That's why side questing is so important in most all games made.
