Actually, geographically speaking Osmena Peak is belong to the town of Badian not Dalaguete. It is easy to climb the peak from Dalaguete that's why people think it is in Dalaguete.

Seems strange that the highest peak in Cebu would be so quiet and hidden, elsewhere in the world it would be flooded with 'tourist crap' that would spoil it, but this looks amazing and I hope it stays like this. The views are just amazing. Another great video Ken 🙂
@kingrafa39382 жыл бұрын
Osmena Peak is the highest mountain in Cebu. It is geographically located in the town of Badian (Southwestern part of Cebu) where the famous Kawasan Falls located. But it is easy to climb and trek in the town of Dalaguete (SouthEastern part of Cebu) where many tourist start their climb. It takes you 5-6 hours when you start trekking in Badian town to reach the peak that's why many people chose the Dalaguete route for a quick summit, take pictures and go. Overnight camping is allowed there using only a gas stove. There's a lot of waterfalls in that mountains you passed-by from Cebu City to the town of Balamban. You better visit them two days after the heavy rains or atleast a day after a not so heavy rain.

I hope you found your way down the mountain in the dark. I wouldn't want to travel down a narrow winding unfamiliar road in pitch black darkness. In addition to the dangers, it would be tremendously easy to get lost in the dark. Of course, you benefit from your Google Maps. When I was 17, I took my 4x4 pickup out off-roading, and even with my bright off-road lights, I missed the dirt road I needed to turn right on to lead me back, and I got completely lost, then ended up driving into Mexico, and was lost there. I was freaked out when I saw building with names in Spanish. After following a car with California plates, I was lucky in that they happened to be heading to the border crossing, and I made it back home. It was a terrifying experience for me back at the time. In retrospect, I was incredibly lucky that the person with the California plates wasn't driving deeper into Mexico. This was before everyone had cellphones.

Then go to dao falls, it is very nice there it is in samboan 20-30 minutes away from oslob, there are so many waterfalls there just asked the locals.
