There is a story behind why Kel wasn't selected as an SNL member. I don't know how much of it believe it but, most definitely, Kel would have been a humongous humour to the show. To me, Keenan leaving and going to SNL was the greatest divide of the time. I, literally, remember feeling a cosmic shift in the universe when Keenan left Kel to do SNL alone. . . with all them white folks 😒.
