Every now and again, we come across a set that absolutely blows us away and we listen to it on repeat for days. Which is hard to come across these days when you’ve been listening to all forms of electronic music for 20 years. This is one of those sets.
@davidbetts29804 жыл бұрын
Absolutely love this, how they mixed Brian Cox into Monsters Exist. I've said before how profound Orbitals sound is. Been a fan for 25 years now, seen them live a few times and can say the best band I've ever seen. The mist amazing memory was V festival in Essex around 1996 I think. Orbital was the last band playing and all genres of music lovers gathered to dance. I swear I had a bunch of punks bouncing around next to me, hippies in front of me, ravers and indie kids everywhere else. It was an amazing to experience.

Grew up with Orbital. Saw them live in 08/24 for the first time in about 15 years. Expected a couple of elderly guys out earning some extra money on the coattails of yesteryear. How delightfully wrong I was - as awesome as they ever were, maybe more so. Thanks for posting this whoever did 👍🏻👍🏻

I first heard Orbital on the John Peel show when I was a student in the early 90s. Still a big fan. I've seen them many times - including at Glastonbury, Bournemouth, Brixton Academy, London 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony and Royal Albert Hall. Kendal Calling was a great gig. Might head up to this Festival one year!

I WAS GUTTED!!!😔 I actually LIVE in Kendal and yet I had no idea my musical icons and favourite act ever had come to my hometown!!!😱 If ANYONE representing Kendal calling and I have met a couple of you albeit briefly reads this please PLEASE do everything in your power that's humanly possible to get the Hartnolls to return as I can't live with myself over this! I fear that due to Covid and no end in sight that the bros might well call it a day as in fairness they are getting on and have family's now but I truly believe they should do one more tour where fans get to choose the set list because I've been into Orbital since about 98 and saw them live at Manchester academy in 2009 which was insane HOWEVER there are tracks that they haven't played live (to public at least) since like 2004! I missed the Altogether tour and they did play an extended version of Dr Who for like 10 mins with permanent strobing lol it was like being on Mars!🙏 Tracks like Remind, Technologique park, P.E.T.R.O.L, Tension, Frenetic, Lush (paris underground crash remix) Why are you here? E.t.c.

I went to latitude a few years ago, and you could hear it all through FatBoySlim and pretty much every other dance sets, it's really fucking annoying. You'll think it has stopped and you're starting to enjoy the set again... then you hear some mindless twats have started chanting it in the distance, completely out of time with the beat. Maybe I'm getting old, but why can't people just get fucked up and dance their tits off like in the old days?

great gig on every level, the only thing that spoils it is the audio drop out during the climax at the end, it sort of ruins the whole build up. Otherwise this would be one of the best Orbital gigs on KZbin. I absolutely LOVE Orbital and this is amazing! I so wish I was there BUT, why the f*ck does the crowd have to spoil it by chanting "oo there it is" so frequently. Shut up and just listen to the music man. It is quintessential Orbital, it is a thing of pure beauty and sends shivers down my spine and it is being perpetually wrecked by the crowd who have absolutely no clue as to how fortunate they are to be there to experience it!
