Hunting with dogs is one of the most efficient ways of finding hogs. The reason why they don't just shoot the hog afterwards is because they wouldn't want to harm the dogs hearing. And besides, wild pigs are considered invasive species, so dwindling down their population is great for the enviorment in general. Of course, killing it with a knife right away would be the most humane result.

Some people may think this is horrible but it is helpful. Here’s why: 1. These hogs are *NOT* native to Florida 2. These hogs can hurt native plants and animals 3. There invasive 4. These hogs meat are going to help gators grow, which are endangered in Florida 5. There meat is a good source of food for humans and other animals (not really important one here.)

Got to give it up to JB. By the way he was touching the animal it was obvious he respected it. They need to be rid of, obviously, but he was never cruel to animals and didn't seem like he got any sort of pleasure from harming it.. he was perfectly gentle while carrying her. I'm sure there are some hunters who kick them when they're too much trouble and drag them through the woods like they're not a living creature.. he even made sure to end ones suffering when the dogs caused it too much harm.
