Love this. Just got back from Big Long Lake, and was visiting the old houses of my father and grandfather. My family has been in kendalville since the 1860s. Always feels like home when I visit every year.

Thank you for these videos! I've always wondered what my grandma's hometown was like. Her dad (my great grandfather) had a flour mill there (sadly, it burned down). ❤

His name was on the building, but it was metal (as are the names on the other buildings), it rusted out - because of the Hotel next to the building and the wind whipping around the buildings. Amanda Blackman did a wonderful job telling the Andersons' story (she even wrote a book about them). The Andersons were very respected in Kendallville. Some are buried the cemeteries in Kendallville.

I never knew kendallville had such an interesting history. Its kind of messed up the black dude didnt get his name put on the buliding he owned. Was that because he was black/
