If you look closely at his left foot around 1:50 and 1:58, you will find out that he still moves his left foot before striking but by only a very very small distance. Actually almost every time he strikes men he do move his left foot a little.

Don't understand japanese except kendo terms, does he says "tsuki no seme" ? Because I believed tsuki was performed by pushing hand forward as the body. By applying a "tsuki seme" won't you get exposed to oji waza ? Informing your partner you will strike immediatly ? Wondering about this detail because i'm actually working on erasing those informatives perturbations in my posture as adviced by my sensei, trying to be as soft as possible with the shinai while beeing strong with the foots and the waist. Thank you if you can help me clarifying those aspects :) .

If you mean 0:48 Yes, he tells us to pressure the Tsuki. He also says right after that: 0:50 "When pressuring Tsuki don't push your hands out but pressure from the waist". I hope that answers your question. Subtitles will be coming soon!

@@XxIwamanxX I think its right to say that all techniques require seme. So while not doing it actively with your shinai you still perform seme after all.
