I remember listening to my school's lead jazz band playing this last year. It was love at first hearing. It even beat their ballad as my favorite, and I love ballads.

That tropical sounding trombone section is the best, I get Urbie Green vibes from it

Great for a first lead trumpet!!!! I'm the first chair, and the only one on first. High recommend for all jazz conductors in the high school that need something to get their band fired up with. I also recommend You're Still a Young Man. As the solo player in that piece I really love the piece, and how much the range varies! YOU NEED TO HAVE GOOD TRUMPETS AT HIGH RANGES FOR BOTH THESE PIECES!!!!!!!!!

Drummer definitly a rocker, but does not over whelm the band. He keeps the head noders alive!

Hey everyone's allowed in jazz. If basie can have a flute solo in fun times why can't there be a viola?

These videos would be even more helpful if they included a scrolling score - similar to the Hal Leonard videos

The chopped 16th notes do give it more rhythmic drive! Still too much drums. But that is what Rock is all about! add some drugs and wild sex and you,re on your way to some kind of addiction!
