Kendra Wilkinson opens up about her mental health struggles after being hospitalized last September in a new interview with 'People.' Kendra shares how she pushed through the hard time and is stronger today because of it.

I've struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. In fact just a few hours ago tonight, I had a panic attack where I was choking and couldn't breathe, and I was scared that I was gonna die. I prayed to God, please let me live, and my mother prayed along with me. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and I'm really glad that we're finally really starting to talk about it. I'm sending love and prayers to Kendra. ❤🙏🏽🔮✨

Depression is awful, mines treatment resistant, She’s done so well for herself, beautiful woman right there
@marrop2760
@marrop2760 5 ай бұрын
who told you that? it is NOT treatment resistant..Orthomolecular Psychiatrists treat patients through NUTRITION.. they take a stool sample/urine sample and test for candida in bloodstream/bowel.. test thyroid function as that can cause depression.. food allergies .. nutritional deficiencies.. heavy metal detox..also test for parasites.. we are human animals so to speak.. when a person is stressed out they are depleted of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, might have malabsorption issues which require enzymes.. lots to learn and knowledge is power.. Dr. Abram Hoffer is the Godfather of Orthomolecular Psychiatry and he helped many people - schizophrenics functioning normally.. they need to get off gluten/dairy especially, take niacin, etc.. Nutrition is a SCIENCE.. people tend to think it's a MENTAL disease.. it is not.. they are MENTAL SYMPTOMS caused by immune system breakdown..therefore underlying issues must be treated.. sometimes it is also a past life issue.. but always start with NUTRITION.. and finding the correct Dr. Nothing to be ashamed about.. but our medical system uses drugs NOT NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE... & stigmatizes people by calling it Mental Illness..which is very wrong...

You have no idea what you are talking about. Don't make less of a person's depression or think that a person can get thru' depression solely by their belief in God. I've listened to pastors in the poorest countries yap on to those who have nothing, telling them to believe and their existence will change. If it doesn't then they don't believe enough. It doesn't matter how much you believe, if you are born into a Third World Country, living in sh*t, no belief in God is going to magically change that. The same rule applies to clinical depression. Depression isn't feeling a little sad or blue. There is more to it. Educate yourself. @@Sunshine-yl4vx

She absolutely has been let down by everybody important in her life. My father was emotionally abusive my entire life. He made no secret about the fact he never wanted me unless I would have been a boy. I have 3 older sisters that he “accepted”. He was raised in a toxic environment, became a ladies man and alcoholic while serving in the navy during the Korean War. He never went to counseling to deal with his issues. To him, everyone around him was the problem. He truly never knew how to Love and be Loved. Of course this affected me and my life choices. I was a mess in my teens and very early 20s. I started counseling at age 19. I’ve been in/out of counseling since, I’m now 52. That all being said, my mom was not perfect, but I never doubted her unconditional Love and support for me. She was always a tender and kind woman, to everyone. She always said, do not judge people because you never know what they’re going through. Having the support and unconditional Love from your mother makes such an enormous difference when it comes to how girls and boys turn out after they’ve left home. Regarding Kendra, clearly her mom is not a warm, fuzzy, loving person. I have a daughter and I will never ever turn my back on her. She knows I will love her through anything, yet I will hold her accountable if she takes a path in her life that leads to spiritual death. I will tell her the truth always and I will always lift her back up if she falls. I would love to take younger Kendra in and demonstrate what the unconditional Love of a mother feels like. Clearly, she is now dealing with the fallout of growing up with inadequate guidance, Love and support, which leads to bad choices in our teen and early 20s. I made so many mistakes from age 16-21, so many. Kendra displays classic reaction and fallout of growing up in an unstable environment. There’s NOTHING wrong with her, deep down, she’s a beautiful soul that needs a Loving, guiding light in her life. I pray she finds Jesus. It truly is that simple. Truly. Call out to Jesus, invite Him, His Holy Spirit into your heart and soul, ask Him for forgiveness. Then place every last problem you’re facing at the foot of His cross. Imagine yourself unloading the bag full of all of your heartache at the bottom of His cross. Look up at Him and ask Him to take it, do away with it all and help you move forward. Tell Him, “Your Will be done.” Then allow His Holy Spirit to lift you up and lead you. Peace and God’s Love, always be with everyone that reads this. God bless you.

@@angelica4885 I don’t know if what you claim is true, but if it is, if there is breath in her lungs and her heart is still beating, she is not lost to satan. Jesus is ALWAYS waiting, ready and willing to rescue any human from his clutches. Rather than make a quick statement like yours, let’s lift anyone that has fallen up and help them back to Christ. God bless you. Let us never kick anyone when they are down.

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He's 59 & has many mental health issues plus probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD knows if it is common for an obsession with violence.

Many people are dying of depression. I for one. When a celebrity is having mental issues it’s a big deal. More focus needs to be brought to surface about the silent battles more of us non celebrities and celebrities alike deal with each day. The silent thinking on how to end our lives what it would do to our loved one or if we in fact care at all. I don’t have children just a husband. My baby twin sister just passed Dec 20 2023 she was my life. 3/4 of me died with her. I became now 95% depressed due to the circumstances that led up to her death from a stroke after a hip fracture operation. This is very deep for me. Iv been watching kendra for years and I absolutely adore her. I wanted so much to reach out to her but we live so far from each other. I think I would’ve been someone who she could rely on and vice versa. Be well suga. Be strong I’m trying hard not working too well ❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔

How eerie that this popped up in my feed today. Not 24 hours ago, I was thinking about her and wondering what became of her show (about her new career in real estate). I think I saw just one or two episodes. I can't imagine juggling motherhood alone while working on a career. Regarding her mental health, I hope she gives herself some grace. After years of avoiding happy smiling Christians and the opposite - uptight overly judgmental Christians, I finally decided to read about Jesus in the Bible. One day in a very depressed state, I called out to Him to see if He existed. Best decision I EVER made. From that moment on, I never felt all alone again. Now, decades later, I still call out to Him and thank Him for letting me STAY AS CLOSE to Him as He will let me. I talk to Him all day long about EVERYTHING. I keep my conversation quiet when out in public. At home alone, I talk out loud to Him. His energy is life-giving. He is ALIVE as He ever was. Smoking, alcohol, hot romances, pills, you name it, DID NOT solve my mental problems. JESUS did and DOES. He has taught me WHAT to eat, HOW MUCH sleep I need, the IMPORTANCE of EXERCISE, WHO to socialize with and WHAT to work at. Basically, He has taught me how to be a functional human being. What has one got to lose by reaching out to Him?! He is funny, hot and understands humans.🥰🥰🥰

How is she a single mom if the father is in the children’s lives? She’s a mother AND her relationship status is single. That’s not fair to Hank to make it seem like she’s solely caring for their children. People should stop saying that.
@michellesmith4570

Despite the the fact that the term "single parent" causes many to make assumptions that this parent has all parental responsibilities on his/her shoulders due to the other parent not being involved at all in helping to raise their children but both terms " solo or lone parent" means raising children without co-parenting. In a broad sense, a person who is a parent of a child and is not married is a “single parent,” regardless of whether custody is shared, joint, sole, or something else. Is a co parent a single parent? I have mental health and one of them is depression. It's hard but as long as you loved ones around you and you seek medical help, you'll feel better but just know that it will not go away. Stay strong Kendra and everyone with depression and other mental health issues, we got this. God bless. 🙏🙌

I’m glad she’s on medication. It is hard to accept that you need medication. Mine started 24 years ago. My son was 3. Later on in life, I have an amazing almost 16 year old daughter. It’s hard to “live” sometimes. But even though my one son is grown, and she’s not far from college, they will always need me. I’m so glad she’s getting the help she deserves. She’s been through a lot.❤

I always wondered if being the Elain Maxwell of the Playboy mansion would eventually eat away at her soul ... or if she ever reconciled with the fact that she made of lifestyle out of tricking girls into doing things she never wanted to or was willing to... I've met females like her in my lifetime ... and some that go deeper in the Matrix have therapists that have therapists... but the others that try to just go out like that chapter was some sort of blimp in her radar .. meanwhile she changed the lives of other females for the worst.. to the point where they can no longer have healthy Normal relationships...like the Shannon Twins ... I can see how these series of events could conjure up a restless spirit... eventually, you have to come to terms with the fact that you hurt people.

Kendra wasn't fair to Holly and Bridget and said some things that were mean hurtful and dishonest. She should apologize. I wish her the best.

I have always loved Kendra. Her spirit rises above all of the rumors and nasty things that people say. My love goes out to her and her family. She has been through so much trauma but always has remained honest and kind, caring for her children first. I love her sense of humor and her down to earth personality. I wish for her nothing but the best in moving forward in her new life path. Unfortunately, I truly understand Kendra, her pain runs deep and I commend her on all of the hard work that she has done on herself. It is not easy, Kendra, but you got this!! ❤ Sending love and strength to her and wishing her all the goodness and happiness that she so deserves!! ❤❤❤
