I don't want to pretend to be an intellectual and make everyone think "Oh, who the hell does this guy think he is? But this show demonstrated the culture clash between two cultures that at first glance may seem similar, such as American and British. For example, when Kendra is surprised to learn that strippers are not allowed in an exclusive gentlemen's club and the guide explains to her that the British gentlemen's club is different from the ones she knows where women are not allowed, but strippers are (forgetting that strippers are also women subject to respect for their moral integrity). It is also curious how the British react somewhat contemptuously to Kendra's questions, who, after all, was almost a teenager going to a party for the first time?

Rewatching this show I really feel bad for Holly & Bridget because I never noticed before how Kendra was allowed to do pretty much whatever she wanted while they were held to a higher standard. I’m cajien and I know that most Parisians like us. We are Acadian old French. And speak an old French patois. It’s much different than metropolitan french though. And although I took metropolitan French as a Cher Bebe I am was having some difficulty watching and understanding films. I love my language and love my culture, the music the food, the history. I am always amazed that some people tell us Louisiana cajiens we don’t speak French correctly, I just say “embrasse moi chu.” And then I smile. And I understand that certain words are different. I don’t call someone in France a catin like I would affectionately in Louisiana. Where it means something affectionate here, it means something totally different in France.😃
