I think the beautiful thing about music (or any form of art) is that it can be interpreted in many ways, even if it wasn't the original intent of the artist. I think blue/Azul does come up fairly frequently in this song, and knowing Kendrick that might not be a coincidence. Here's another fun fact: blue is a very rare color in nature. Most of the blue that we see, including the blue in the sky, is not truly blue, it's just the way light is reflected and perceived by the human eye.
