He belongs in the studio where he creates the greatest Hip Hop this generation witnessed. J. Cole is my third favorite new-schooler but he's #1 on a live stage.

Kamran Mamedi Ok let's try this again: I agree that Kendrick is #1, I just said repeatedly in my comment that his studio music is legendary. He's a real artist with a real purpose and that's rare. His Grammy and late-night performances are exquisite and unique, that is also true. On a live stage in front of a crowd, Kendrick Lamar (by far my favorite rapper) is very bad, I can't get through one of his gigs, or I turn the volume down real low. Neither him nor his music works on a stage, bad vocals, keeps skipping words, the music fails to put the crowd in a trance.
