Drake’s idea of Blackness is stereotypical. He cosplays Blackness using stereotypes and takes it off at will. Never connects to Black issues or needs. Black people aren’t a monolith. There’s plenty of dorky suburban Black people. If that’s who he is that’s fine. It’s the limited idea of Blackness that relies on tropes that’s problematic

IMPORTANT ‼️ #PSA ITS NOT ABOUT DRAKE BEING LIGHTSKIN ‼️ It’s about Drake being a mixed kid from the Ashkenazi community that cosplays “urban” hip hop culture, that he CLEARLY is not only NOT OF, but also mocks ‼️ Some of his mocking is deliberate (which is DEFINED AS EXPLOITATION) and some of it is due to being an outsider (co-signed or allowed a seat at the table) by the ones in our culture.. and to move as he does (like exploiters) he BLATANTLY allows the machine of exploiters MORE ACCESS and control to manipulate our communities, while he gets rewarded as if he’s the actual thing.. ITS DISGUSTING (and is why he has no problems agreeing to Ai version of 2Pac voice on a lame diss track verse.. Pac stands for the complete opposite of what Drake is/ represents) Our culture is not for play play. Stop playing when you press play. Enjoy. From NYC, love to all. Bless.

Elon musk RUINED Twitter them ppl aren’t just bots he made monetized rage bait . You can get paid for viral tweets ppl just on there saying the most outlandish shit for attention and saying Kendrick response is trash gonna get you a lot of attention.

Story of Adidon dropped, and now the expectation is that you must have some big shade room esque gossip to spill on your diss track. And if John Doe with 12 followers mentions something about a rapper on X, it can no longer be used in a diss track cause its a "twitter talking point" Lyricism aint cool no more in hip hop. Even to the self proclaimed hip hop heads. Its all about quotables that rhyme, spilling tea, and who cosplays gangster the best.

This got y’all in yall feelings on both sides . When you diss somebody yeah you kind of need some dirt on them or to point out Something ppl never thought of, that ppl didn’t know if you want it to be impactful. Both tracks was good from both dudes . I think the next ones from both are going to be crazy though. My fighter already threw in the towel so it’s just interesting watching ppls biases take over their objectivity

Kendrick said there’s 3 GOATS left and sees two of them kissing and hugging on stage. Saying Beyoncé and Jay-Z and Kendrick are the GOATS which plays more into the fuck the Big 3 it’s just Big me. Also later that day there was a pic that came out of Bey and Kendrick in a restaurant here in NY lmaaoo

Drake is barely Black. His dad isn’t fully black and his mom is white. Cole is light skin. Drake is ambiguous. Cole looks like an average light skin dude. Drake doesn’t look like that. That’s why Cole’s Blackness isn’t questioned. Drake and Cardi B’s is

I'm convinced the big three are trying to outdo themselves in being corny, from cole backing down after dropping a diss, drake bringing up a dead man to diss someone, and Kendrick going from making an album that tackles racism to then making fun of drake being half white IMO this was a better diss than Taylor made even though there wasn't really anything that hasn't been said before, kendrick said it in a better/more creative way So it's 1-1 now I'm still mad at cole for backing out though 😭

@@theman9048 Exactly! If people think the point is that Drake is half White, they missed something. People forget that J Cole has the exact same racial makeup as Drake (raised by his White momma and everything), but notice Kendrick wasn’t on Cole’s ass about that. Because it’s not about his racial background, it’s about his cultural upbringing (or lack thereof) and the cosplaying of a limited idea of Blackness
