Newbe here, but retired old woman who almost did what you do but went in a whole different direction in work and life. This vid is fascinating and I’m planning to follow your channel with vicarious interest. Too bad we get only one life, but I think you chose an interesting one and I wish you well. You are so articulate and sharp ~ not to mention talented!

Interesting - I’ve never heard the term “clean/clear cut” before. In my experience clients have asked me for an “alpha version” (referring to the alpha channel that controls opacity) when they want a transparent background. So that’s another one you might hear now and then!

You posted this video a long time ago, but maybe you still have this book idea in the pipeline. Personally I would love to read the book on techniques 😁

Interesting! The part about the sketch is important. I think people tack on the phrase to imply the work is opened to being worked on some more even though it's obviously quite finished. A sketch really isn't meant to be very detailed, plus you don't want to have a client cancel or kill and pay you a kill fee for a detailed sketch only to find it's been used for signage!

That's very helpful. Thank you. Hope you have a wonderful day with your beautiful girl and another baby in your tummy. My baby just turned 6 months old today.. Time flies when we have fun, right? Now I can go and paint too. Yay :-)

I'm so glad! That's great to hear, Elizabeth. I remember feeling like that as well, and didn't even know what to google to figure it out.
