For me the best runner in the history, Why, I have many reason, he have a very accurate runner style, he dominates the cross, 5000, 10000 in almost one decade and now he almost break the marathon world record. I hope will dominate the marathon for a long but now is 37. My best wishes for the legend of this era.

Having seen a number of interviews over the many years of his being a top-ranked distance runner, it always impresses me the most how humble he comes across. I also like the "bubbli-ness" / youthful-enthusiasm (despite his age) he has for the sport and his potential.
@mertgurel76135 жыл бұрын
For me one of the best if not the best comeback in the history of SPORTS! I was lucky when I heard that he will take part in Berlin!❤ I felt sad to see how a legend like him dropped out of races. I was okay with his place 3. I thought that it's nearly inpossible to overtake lemma and legese because of his short preparation. But then I couldn't believe my eyes. I start crying when he overtakes legese... just an iconic and legendary Moment for me. ❤
Congratulations son of Africa Kenenisa Bekele we love you from Kenya.

To me there is no question Bekele is the greatest runner of all time. New fans of the sport may not realize that Bekele used to dominate Kipchoge in the 5k & 10K. Even though Kipchoge has amazing endurance he cant compete with Bekele's "Kick". That end of the race kick is so deadly with him. That's why i was hoping to see Bekele vs Kipchoge again in the Marathon. If Bekele was still with Kipchoge headed into the last mile Bekele wins hands down!

Both half and full marathon are held by Kenyans. Now go home and cry...😂🤣 or train better. Injury affects everybody. The best comeback ever - 1:01:41! Two seconds shy of Eluid Kipchoge world record. At 30km he was dropped to third place and feared out. At 37km he caught up with the leader and at 41km he was five seconds behind the world record.
@NORTAMRAT5 жыл бұрын
Bekele was angry he did not break the record for just two seconds short. And he was not honest why he kept looking the watch because he was sure he was close to the records. Otherwise he could check back how far the opponents were. Anyway for us it is good he didnot break the record because the breaking the record brings him back again. When he does break the record he would be the frist man ever to hold three long run records marathon, 10000 and 5000 at the same time.

It’s amazing this legend achieved close to WR. But remember it’s one run in a while. Would he repeat something like this on his next run or close? Could he drops out of races? Did he push himself so hard he had damaged his future? Who knows. Kenennisa is already a legend, nothing will be taken away from him regardless. But he would cement his reputation for centuries if he breaks a world record.

Considering he felt something in his hamstring and didn't even go max out in the beginning, he could easily have broken the WR if he tried from the start.

Or maybe by throttling a little bit down his pace, it allowed him to pick it way up at the latest stages of the race... Something like unplanned negative split strategy. Maybe if he went with his planned steady pace he wld have finished later... I dont know tbh... (or maybe Berlin marathon is not truly 42.2km :D :D :D)
