I am all for a Ken fan page. I would sign up first if I could. Like PhantomPanic, I also suffer from depression and PTSD and I find watching Ken's videos really helps when I am down. They make it easier to cope at times and for that I thank Ken from the bottom of my little heart. I don't think I could take the stress of flying my Phantom 4 Pro that far. Maybe if I had pair of FatShark goggles, but I don't think I could take it just by watching the screen on the controller.You are definitely a better man than me Ken. Dana too.

Hey Reid! I understand how frustrating depression can be. I have close, personal friends who are dealing with it right now. There's nothing anyone can say to magically "fix it" but if my silly videos offer a respite, that makes me feel really good. Take care my friend!

Another totally awesome video Ken. I personally wouldn't trust myself flying that close to the tree tops because I would hit one for sure. You stated at one point in the video that you and Dana were side by side communicating the entire time and it made me wonder if the two together are capable of staying serious for a timeframe such as the length of that flight. :-)

Thanks for all the good videos. I'm a newer hobbyist. I own land I've been flying over and I'm barely getting 1,500 to 2,000 feet before the warnings about a weak signal pop up. It is a wooded area but I'm flying high. I even bought extenders that you reviewed. That got me maybe another 500 feet. I'm scratching my head and why such the short distance.
@philbach16 жыл бұрын
Just wondering. I was impressed that you were able to keep communication with the drone while flying fairly close to the drone. I thought you needed to keep line of sight pretty much to maintain contact.

@slbynum7 жыл бұрын
I was saying to myself while watching this "they need to be higher up". In retrospect if you had been higher up, yes better signal but more wind to eat battery's flight time and you might have ran out of battery before getting back. You guys had some serious wind there.
@frankrao22647 жыл бұрын
Hey Ken you and Dana are one of the few KZbinrs i enjoy as much as the video. I'm in the same age range so I totally get you humor!!! I too have the Phantom 4 Pro and I wondered if you tried using ActiveTrack to follow Dana's drone? You wouldn't have to do much flying your drone will do it all. As long as he stays at a steady pace and doesn't make sudden and quick movements it should work fine. I've used it flying with my son and his drone, he flies the Autel X-Star Premium. Interesting fact about the trees affect the signal, I flew over farm lands the other day and got about 1.42 miles before signal crapped out. Enjoyed this video as well and always look forward to the next one.

Hey Ken, I wonder why you both didn't keep to an altitude so as to be above the trees at all times, would this not have been better on the batteries without having to use power to climb each time? Also wouldn't the altitude have been better for signal too (less trees in the way) - Crazy thought coming up. Helium balloon with antenna for the DJI attached to give a much better signal - i.e above the Zone of High Interference and a good Line of Sight to the Phantoms.
@KenHeron7 жыл бұрын
True, but then the trees and stuff would've looked like Google Maps and the video would be boring. Besides, it's easier to follow a fellow drone when using terrain as a guide. (I like the balloon idea!)

Nice video! You got very far for such a low flight. Why did your batteries use so much power going out? Was there a strong headwind, or did you jus not start with full batteries? I've flown out 15,000 ft and then back with about 24% power left on my P3P. Nice scenery
