as i always say, they are better dam builders than humans, lol, as one hardly sees one collapseo, but human built dams do, i know one cannot compare the water pressure to the beaver dams, but still some beaver dams have big walls and hold lots of water

Yes congratulations, 100k supporters. Well done. Lots of hard work completed to gain so many. Conservation is a wothwhile effort to be part off. While you use mother nature in your efforts to bring down the beavers dams, you are still assisting mother nature in keeping the water flowing. Well done. 😊 cheers mate.

Actually, beavers dams are essential because they create wetlands and habitats to hundreds of frogs, birds and insects. Removing them is absolutly not helping Mother nature
@Salutimondo
@Salutimondo 2 ай бұрын
@@gaeldujonchay5970 Actually.....These are not natural waterways; they are man made channels made decades ago to channel away excess water from productive cropping fields and to protect adjacent roads from subsidence. The country he lives in is very low lying and the water table rises to the surface preventing crops being grown to feed the population, provide employment and to be exported for income. That is why there are hundreds of kilometres of drainage channels which empty into the natural waterways eventually. The beavers come up the channels and block them. They are able to freely return to their natural habitat

Labas Mantas, a stick dam again, your least favorite, I imagine. Usually, it doesn't collapse as well as a grass or reed dam, but it did a swinging door collapse, which was surprising. You need merchandise that says "Kenislovas, Been Pissing Off Beavers Since 2021" or whatever year you started. A very entertaining collapse, good work (on the beavers' part), and you too. Sveiki to Roberta and Gintarė.

Great job and great video. The beavers are in the believe that when a dam fails that they did something wrong building it. SO, the start anew and build from scratch with new materials to make it better and stronger along with the fact that new wood has is food for them as they eat the bark. Notice some of the branches that are stripped of the bark on the old dam materials. 😄😄

I found it interesting this time the rush downstream then it settling a bit as it drained. It is also surprising to me when it is a side or partial collapse like this one that the water doesn't erode it as it flows, they seem to hang on pretty good, a testament to the beavers evolved technique. Good one brother.

Here's a question for you, Mantas (you can answer here or in a future video): why doesn't anyone come to the dams' sites and remove the piles of wood that are piling up (forgive the redundancy)? At the rate the beavers are rebuilding the dams and you're removing them, one day you won't have any space left to put more wood. Also, a Fun Fact about your name: it means "blankets" in Portuguese. 😄
