Still make quick work of the dam. Beavers are not going to be happy, but dry fields are much more important.

Now I better understand why you prefer to remove the dams by hand. The impact on the sides of the canals are heavy. But sometimes it is better to have bigger equipment to take care of all the mud. Beautiful drone view! ❤️💪🏋️‍♀️

Yes, the telehandler was not the ideal machine for the job - but, in the real world, you often have to do the best you can with what you've got. If the machine dropped the water level in the channel by 1.5 metres, that is a GOOD result - and will certainly make a huge difference to the crop yields on those very wet fields!

So sorry for the loss of your fur baby!! They become part of our family and we become part of their pack!! AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE “Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.” By the edge off a wood, at the foot of a hill, is a lush, green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, when their time on earth is over and done. For here, between this world and the next, is a place where each beloved creature finds rest. On this golden land, they wait and they play, till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day. No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness, t for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness. Their limbs are restored, their health renewed, their bodies have healed, with strength imbued. They romp through the grass, without even a care, until one day they stop, and sniff at the air. All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back, then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack. For just at that instant, their eyes have met; Together again, both person and pet. So they run to each other, these friends from long past, the time of their parting is over at last. The sadness they felt while they were apart, has turned into joy once more in each heart. They embrace with a love that will last forever, and then, side-by-side, they cross over.......together!!!

When we have used a telehandler to do beaver dams and if it is possible, we use the dam to be able to go across slightly and then work our way back. Opening the farthest side first and then moving backwards. He did a really good job. I have seen professionals get stuck in those kinds of situations.

Like AvE always says, "ya gotta piss with the cock ya got". I actually thought the operator did a pretty good job, especially considering that a telehandler is not at all meant to be used on such soft, slippery soil.

Tbh I don't think that this merlo was not the right tool for the job. The fact that the bucket was equipped with a "grabbing fork" (I don't know how you call that) makes it more suited than the excavater in some of your last videos, that has to balance or drag branches out ofthe water because it has not such grabbing tool.
