IF Kenjaku is truly dead, then I think Gege completely botched the writing of his death. You can't have an antagonist chase his goal for a thousand+ years, and then be completely unfazed when he's killed just before reaching that very goal. Being a master manipulator does NOT mean you don't have emotions, like any other character. You mean to tell me Kenjaku dedicated centuries to the merger, and when he's killed and fails to satisfy his curiosity...he's just chill about it? He simply smiles, and stays cool? No. I call bulls**t on that. Even evil geniuses can be frustrated at their failures: even Aizen had a breakdown at the end.

His plans don‘t mean anything to other people, only him and he‘s lived so long setting all this up, only to not see it himself in the end, there‘s no way he should be satisfied with that. I feel kinda bad for you and Fake Weeb tbh. I always enjoyed your videos and still going to, I just feel bad for the amount of times you both spend on some of you're analysis videos but Gege's writing always seem to make them amount to almost nothing. I'm talking about Fake Weeb's Miwa Video and you're Kamo video for example. Even with this Kenjaku video. I see you're points, the only problem for me is that Gege honestly doesn't seem to be able to write a proper story, with a good plot and deep themes. The fights are still great, but IMO there are to many characters or plot points which were introduced which kinda didnt mean anything at the end or were handled completely 'rushed' in a way. I'm not talking about Gojo's death which I honestly liked or what happened to Kashimo (I'm still baffled that this dude had a fanbase and people were actually 100% certain he would do anything in the story lol) but lots of wasted potential Both plot and characters wise. Most of you will know what I'm talking about...Given that Gege admitted to either not like or not having any idea what to do with some of his MAIN characters and generally coming off as not really giving a shit about them, kinda made me aphatetic to 90% of the cast and the story in general. This and the fact that he tends to explain every detail of a cursed technique which he enjoys but then not properly explain the background of characters we've followed since the series began and still almost know nothing about even tho we're already in the final arc... This is not meant as an offense towards you both as I still enjoy you're videos, especially you're manga reviews It's just sad how much JJK fell off as it had so freaking much potential. I hope you're still enjoying what you do, and If that's the case I'm happy for you.

Nothing against this KZbinr because I'm sure he does it out of passion and I'm happy if he is making some money with this. More power to him. But a lot of English-speaking KZbin channels have a bad habit of overanalyzing to the point that anything can seem like world-class writing (in Latin America we have the opposite problem of not analyzing anything). Kenjaku getting his head cut off after a comedy sketch with a very minor character (Takaba) is bad writing. Heck, if this was MHA, Black Clover, Bleach, or Naruto, people would admit it was awful. Kenjaku never did anything for the sake of anyone else. This idea has Kenjaku has an ounce of selflessness in his entire being is just false. He could've been a good father to Yuji or Choso but it didn't fit HIS goals so he didn't. The merger wasn't for the sake of Tengen or to make humanity better it was for the sake of HIS curiosity. He wanted to know what a Tengen merged with people in Japan would look like and do. I understand that Yuki and Kenjaku represent possible evolutions of humanity. The thing is Yuki was selfless so her dying to do that makes sense but Kenjaku was entirely selfish so him dying and passing that nonsense to Sukuna was just an out. We can't even get his reaction to the merger, I'm not even convinced the merger will even happen so it's all pointless imo.
@saawysorenson458511 ай бұрын
Yeah I kinda agree with this. Like if his motivation is seeing the fucking thing, than how does him dying go in line with that. @MichRoyal11 ай бұрын
Gege sure loves his parallels. "I am you." Etc. Kenjaku's battle with Takaba imo is peak irony. Kenjaku is a character defined by his intelligence, logic, precision, and knowledge. Leave it to Gege to cook up a character who is the exact opposite of these things. Comedy in itself tends to be funny due to its lack of logic, its randomness, and the ability to reach someone through pure charisma and imagination. The comedian in itself was the stark contrast of someone who valued intellect and prep time above all else. It was simply broken with no logic, and completely disregarded one's intellect for sake of random comedy primarily. Makes me think with all this talk about "love" for Sukuna and how he finds it worthless, the one who'll teach him about it is Yuta because he's defined by love. Rika is love manifested in cursed form. I think most of us assume it'll be Yuji to pull off the W, but I think Sukuna is about to get taught love's value by the original MC. Yuji will probably have his W moment against merged Tengen.
