I think this is a great initiative! I highly recommend creating communities to share and collaborate! I don't think I personally have the bandwidth right now to manage one of these, so I encourage you all to build them! I am starting one and would love to have you both be admins. No need to close down any you have started though, I would actively encourage people to join those as well. I think the more communities the better!

@@soumyabisht2509 hey Soumya! Yeah I had the same problem, but I realized that I just needed to choose something and jump in. I decided on data quest, but it is a bit pricey so if you are able to afford it, I would definitely recommend it has different pathways you can choose from, but if you get the premium version you have access to all the pathways. I would recommend it, because theres a lot of material and it starts you from scratch so you don't need a background in python to get started. If you have any further questions feel free to ask!

#66daysofdata thats a fantastic idea Ken ! I was using Daniel Bourke's 42 day learning strategy, which worked so well for me. As a beginner, this strategy helped me to not waste time getting overwhelmed by the vast areas of topics to learn in data science. I just picked some basic projects to focus and learn using reverse engineering for 42 days and it was a fruitful endeavor. Looking forward to learn with you man ! :)

I am seeing your videos from past few weeks and I even made an account on Kaggle and was trying to see what that Housing Project is all about. But after seeing it, i was overwhelmed and was questioning myself whether I'll be able to learn these things. I think you will be able to understand it! It is a slow process but consistency is the key. Maybe start with the Titanic dataset (I have a video walk through), then move on to the housing!

To be honest I always felt MOOCs from reputed university seemed obselete & monotonous. I had purchased a data science specialization course of John Hopkins and I couldn't go any further beyond 1st course. On ther other side there are so many young passionate data scientist teaching on free platform like youtube who are 100x better than so called course. Well that's just my two cents

I am already in the process of taking not just the habits of doing ML every day (that's a requirement I think when you're beginning and new in the field) but als, recently, I started using my Bullet Journal to record my investment and progress into the field. And since I am still trying to sort out a few things both in tracking my progress and trying to establish a clearer road map, seeing this on my computer this morning came as an incredibly great blessing, thank you !! :) Now question: Could you and us the rest of your community also have some discussion on, say, Kaggle on regular basis? I feel like that, for newcomers like me, it would help navigate the kaggle "maelstrom" and be less intimidated, as well as having a clearer road map. As for you, it would help you both reexamine your fundemantals through teaching as well as helping you establish yourself as a good, proficient teacher that has both passion for the field and is teaching it with the best of intentions. :) And I assume when we, your followers and students, start becoming proficient and say 'Ken Jee was instrumental in this' ... well ... I am really hoping this will open doors for you, the best ones, just saying ;)

Thank you for this ! I’m want to learn Data Science but the boot camp is too expensive for me right now (17K) . I’m in a free camp for software engineering so I’m finally starting to learn tech . I hope next year with this and Coursea hopefully I can make my break in data science . There aren’t a lot of black people in the field it seems so I’m nervous 😩

I think you can learn all the skills without a bootcamp for sure, it just takes a little more organization! Don't be nervous, if you can make an impact on this field, you will stand out (in a positive way)!
