So apparently Skadi retailed for 1699 chinese yuan in china, which would convert to around 35k japanese yen! So i would have been right lmao, From what people have commented, seems like myethos's prices are still the same in China, but in japan prices have bumped up. Even if they yen was as bad as it is I didn't think they would up charge figures that the original manufacturer already have a set price for but im no expert lol

Myethos has more incoming Arknights figures, Amiya and Eyjafjalla from Ambience Synesthesia 2022 and Liduke's formal wear (finally) that Anigift was supposed to do 2.5 years ago. Myethos's figures are very beautiful, especially their fairy tales series. I did bought one 1/10 sized figure for a friend and ngl, for a budget sized figure, their quality is really good. Shame about their Miku 1/7 though that only sold in China. I actually... quite terrified of using proxy services due to bad experience.

From what I remember, Amiami increased her price before release. I got early preorder there and paid 43k JPY for figure, 8k for surface shipping. They probably saw there is high demand for this one or just adjusted for weak Yen.

Stunning figure from Myethos as usual! On a side note, the price increase for myethos figures are most likely due to inflated prices in the Japanese market. You can still get their figures for cheap-ish if you look to sites like taobao or other domestic sites in china. The problem with that is you have to use a proxy service since most of them don’t deliver internationally but maybe it’d still be worth it for expensive figures like this one.

She was 43,000 yen on Amiami when she went up for pre-order but is now 50,300 yen. I didn't feel like paying EMS/DHL so I went with Sea Freight and paid 8,100 yen for a total of 51,100 yen or $460 CAD. Amiami shipped on Jan26th. I received it March 14th. I live in Toronto, Canada for reference.

From my experience, very high quality and good figure. When I receive the figure it's does lost one of skadi hand due to packaging issue but props to myethos for support and send me back really fast. If you're a fan of Arknights and really want Skadi, I highly reccomend this

On average, CN figs appearing on Japanese sites are usually 25-30% more (at least what I seen for Myethos and Apex figs) than trying to get directly through China by Taobao, proxy, etc.. It also doesn't help that Amiami has been skimping out on discounts, as someone mentioned she was at first 43k, which I'm usually trying to avoid. I used Akimomo, an Australian site, since some figures are priced better weirdly. The shipping dates was hectic for this figure and still is for other countries but I got mines in ~1 month which even going surface premium on Amiami was like $100 usd difference. Planning to get Surtr swimsuit on backorder here too since her total is already cheaper than Amiami's fig price.

When I pre ordered it from amiami, it got it for around 43k yen, which was roughly 415 ish Canadian. With shipping (using the cheapest option) grand total was around 51k yen, which was 493$ Canadian when I paid for it, which for the size and quality of the figure, I'd say is worth.

Yeah, ive just seen too many people who will buy any figure that catches their eye, and then later down the line they'll come to a realization that they should have curated their collection more, and only buy figures from works that they actually dive into and love. Since the hobby is quite expensive already and takes up a lot of space depending on how deep into it you are. Then theyll go through the hassle of trying to getting rid of the figures. Save yourself the headache xD Good reason why I've never felt regret over any of my purchases or the need to sell any of my figures, cause i only get things that i truly have a passion for.
