Cold stores are very important in countries such as Ghana because hot weather yes US have hot weather but the businesses tend to have their own cold stores in Ghana most small businesses cannot afford so cold stores just like storage facilities in US, you rent your spot to fill up with your goods.

Cold stores are like storage facilities in the west, and its purpose is that in your house if you cannot store all your stuff you rent a storage and keep them there same principle with cold stores. Even Data Centres for IT is the same principle where one builds and rent the racks that companies can run their IT from separate from other companies in the same building
