Today we took a trip out to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, we got to see the new exhibit, Heroes & Legends and the Astronaut Hall of Fame. We met Robonaut, the robotic astronaut and took the bus tour around the NASA complex before ending the day at the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. There we saw a very moving memorial exhibit for Columbia and Challenger. We hope you enjoyed this space vlog! Thanks for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

That piece of the Challenger they have in that little memorial spot had the American flag on it and When I saw that I just felt an overwhelming feel of emotion. How amazing that the piece they find had the flag on it, how touching.

One trip we made to watch a shuttle launch actually stopped on a side road (watch Adam The Woo at the 7:45 mark) and watched the shuttle launch, it was a restricted area, I went up the road and asked a security guard if we where allowed to be on this road...He said "If I can't see you I don't know your here" so we went down the road and sat on the bank, it was pitch black until they ignited the boosters then it lit up like noon time you could actually feel the Radiant Heat from it ACROSS that bay. Would have been early 90s maybe 93-95 sometime. Really cool, my kids where privileged to 2 shuttle launches...Really breath taking experience... Another GREAT Video

i was literally thinking the same thing you thought!!!! that was one of president kennedy's greatest quotes!!! "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard" however, and as I've read and now understand... the quote was not used because the quote itself when put into context, carries cold war memories and baggage. the full quote being: "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too." it's still such an awesome quote!!!

When I went, I was in the heroes and legends building at the beginning and looking at all the pods (from he beginning). Inside one of them was a little boy looking at a spacesuit with so much wonder in his eyes and his dad thought I wanted him out to take a photo and made with move and I honestly am still mad about that like I missed out on such an amazing photo opportunity

When Tim mentions remembering where he was when the Challenger disaster happened it took me right back too! Mrs. Johnston's biology class, my sophomore year at Eau Gallie High School. We all knew it looked wrong but when our principal officially announced it....gahhh!! Walked around the rest of classes in a daze. So sad.

Love seeing y'all in my neck of the woods. My dad worked at the cape during the Apollo, Skylab and Shuttle missions. After Challenger, there were a lot of lay offs and he left at the time. Amazing to be here during the golden age and hopefully, the new SLS missions will bring some of it back. Now I need to head back up to the visitor's enter. I forgot how much I enjoy it!

Oh my gosh Tim this brings back some MAJOR memories. When I was in the 3rd grade our school took us on a field trip out to the Kennedy Space Center and we stayed overnight in that room with the Saturn V rocket and my dad and I slept under the American flag seen at around 15:10. This is such a throwback that was 11 years ago.

Tim, my mom was pregnant with me when the challenger tragedy happened and remembers it vividly to this day. I remember the Columbia tragedy. Seeing the exhibition actually made me tear up a little. I also remember going to the Kennedy space center when I was little and seeing the launch pad and the eagles nests! You gave me such nostalgia with this one. Awesome video!

Tim. Thanks so much for sharing. As a kid I grew up right next to the Johnson Space Center in Houston and went to school with children of the engineers and astronauts who flew the first shuttle missions. When you showed the fragments from the shuttles It brought tears to my eyes with all those memories from the day Challenger blew up flooding back. I didn't even realize those displays existed. My wife and I are heading down in October and the space center just made my list to stop and pay my respects

This was an amazing tour for those of us not likely to be able to visit anytime soon. Heading over to the states from here in the U.K. and doing what I affectionately call 'the space tour' (Florida, Texas, JPL and Edwards just off the top of my head) is on my bucket list for once my children are grown. Until then I am glad for things like this. One thing though and I am sure you know this but I wish you had brought it up in the vid, 'astronaut ice cream' is a pure sales gimmick and nothing like it was even flown in space.

You actually mentioned those pressure pads waaaaay back when you first started vlogging, it was a video where you suggested all these million dollar ideas and only asked for a small $10k cut if we ever made any money off of them 😜 anyhow I thought it was cool to see these pressure pad energy things after hearing you talk about them so long ago! Also, I ordered a ding dang shirt from you guys and I'm so excited it just came in the mail today! Love you guys

Ohh yes my visit to KSC was great by all means. I really love this place. I was here at the 21 of june 2017. I had the time of my life here and saw the space shuttle Atlantis. I have always loved the shuttles, it is sad that they are not flying anymore. They where the greatest of them all. I also saw wreckage parts of the Columbia from 2003 accident, it was a very very sad story. I saw the jacket and coffecup that belonged to dear astronaut Laurel Clark and it was quite special. She has always been in my heart and will always be. She was a wonderful person. I saw also things that belonged to the other astronauts on Columbia and it gave me something to think about. The whole experience here this day was a thing I will remember for the rest of my life. I will maybe come back soon too.
