We had to learn the same lesson on military readiness in the late 1930's because liberal congress defunded the military. A lot of Solders died in WW2 that did not have too! Readiness is essential to National Security. Instead Congress chose to spend the money on Social Welfare make work projects. While this did some good the same money, resources and personell could have been applied to National Security as well and saved the lives of millions. WW ONE AND TWO WOULD NOT OF HAPPENED IF THE U.S. HAD MAINTAINED AN AGGRESSIVE POSTURE FROM A POSITION OF STRENGTH THROUGHOUT THE TWENTIETH CENTURY AND PROJECTED NATIONAL STRENGTH WITHOUT MILITARY OCCUPATION AROUND THE WORLD.
