If you want a bigger dog go get an English Mastiff. My was not really BIG until after 2 years old. He went from lean to jacked. His head also got about 50% bigger. Final weight for Major was about 130lbs.

Same here. My dogs have their own freezer and eat better than me! There’s a big difference between a lean healthy weight and starving and undernourished. 🙂

It’s like with horses…you should see *some* rib shadows…I don’t like it in horses so I’ve always kept them a bit fat but my dogs’ last rib will show and the tuck is there in the flank. I learned fast these dogs can’t be fat…they will be way too heavy just like you can’t overfeed young horses or they’ll pay in the long run with bad joints and pain way before that should happen. I told you my 6 month old male was 94#, and he might have been a bit chunky at that time, but we don’t overfeed them!!! I concentrated on keeping my first one fit and trim, and she’s still a good sized female. Our male gets around well, he’s super fast and athletic, and we don’t encourage jumping high or off things so we do the best we can. We let them RUN and play outside. I know you said 10# a month, but even my runt female was 75 or so at 6 months. And you CAN SEE ALL THEIR RIBS!!! I took into account the HEAVY THICK BONES these dogs have…they’re functional and healthy and super happy, but they are just NOT small!! Their mom has much finer bone than they do…which I’m happy about bc I know we are improving on the last generation. I have watched them closely though, just to make sure they’re not fat, and sometimes they have to be backed off food, if they start to fluff up. The crazy thing is, if I fed my dogs the amount of food by WEIGHT AND AGE that “they” say they’re supposed to eat???? They’d be sooo fat. Thanks for the advice and tips, it’s always good to have someone tell the truth and get you to think and pay attention.

@@getyouapresa you’re welcome, and I have to say that I was re-reading my long a$$ post and I saw where I said, “AND YOU CAN SEE ALL THEIR RIBS!” Hahaha I meant, you can see ALL OF THE DOGS’ last rib and maybe some shadows but it looks like I’m saying I starved them, lol! So I just had to clarify: I meant to say it’s only ONE rib you can see on each of the dogs, not ALLL the ribs on all the dogs! 🤣😂

Mr., rich, I'm in the process of getting rid of purchase a prussa. I love a dog that's cut up with muscle and very athletic. My question to you, what is the best age to start running your dog on a treadmill and letting them start? To pool weight
@getyouapresa2 ай бұрын
I start then young 4 months but don’t over work them. Ask for parents hip results from your breeder it’s called PENNHIP. Good luck 💪🏾

Stupid question but do you worry about Salmonella in the raw meat at all?

Not a stupid question. But no, keep it at the correct temperature helps eliminate that concern.
