Rodman is a genius. He was being sarcastic about what had Kenneth Bae really done, giving the viewers (that includes NK) to think "nothing" and yeah he just made a noise and got media attention. Now since the NK now knows that the world is aware about the imprisonment of Kenneth Bae with the "unknown" reason, they felt a bit of shame and guilt PUBLICLY so they released Kenneth. I mean, damn genius 101. Even the reporter is part of the script as well by intentionally "provoking" something out of them. These Americans are really good at something.
