55 is a very good SECOND line center full stop. His game is extremely 1:49:37 1:49:38 predictable and he’s not fast enough to break through. He hasn’t dominated behind the net and on the boards since 2019.

Well, we’re to start? If we look backwards, perhaps the true answer was Management “believing” in the group and attempting to re-tool on the fly. Well, hind sight is 20-20, AND, we live in Winnipeg, so we are not a destination location for UFA’s so we need to draft and develop. Chevy has spent 5 years trading away picks with the hope of hitting a home run and it has worked since Staz. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. Time to build out stable of picks and bring up our youth. Will it be painful… sure, but as a fan it’s time to recognize this team, like many others, is not built for SC success.

#lamplighter KFCs opening goal, Thanks guys for the season. A disappointing finish but a great ride during the regular season. Jets were the second best team this series. Helle’s play was average. The numbers speak. The D- core needs an overhaul- should have played Miller not Stanley. Maybe what we were calling depth was just mediocrity up and down our line up of forwards. Best players didn’t shine with consistency. Lots of people are saying we got out-coached. Clearly we need someone who can take their play to the next level- especially specialty teams. I am so happy we have a Jets team but I would love for them to make it past Round 1 next year.

For everyone that is complaining about the attendance, this season will only hurt them. The regular season means absolutely nothing, they are full proof of that. Same end results and no big saves this game from Helle after the Jets fought back to answer. I been saying this since game 3 that LB should have went in. Different year, same crap. Oh well, we can only hope the Avs beat the snot out of Vegas should they pull out their series. Other than that, who cares.

No other playoff team would have let Hellebuyck start game 4 with his numbers and reputation for poor playoff performances. The Jets would have had a chance with LB in goal but with a shell-shocked Hellebuyck, lights out. Hockey malpractice by the coaching staff.

I was underwhelmed at the time and now by the trades made in an “all in season.” The mentality to select two slow moving vets who are both not very physical did not set the table for a long post season. In addition it felt in the end they were playing to save themselves for their next contract? Miller however looked not bad in a tiny sample and would be an excellent replacement for Schmidt.

This was coaching malpractice poor line up decisions, terrible special teams, going back line combinations that didn't work before expecting them to work now. Bones coming back for a 3rd season will not help Chipman's season ticket drive

During the regular season Helly makes Hynes Jets look better than they are because he saves more above expectations .. in the playoffs against the best of the best it’s a different challenge .

You can count on the fingers of one hand the Jets who were good in the series and who can compete with Colorado: JMo, the best Jet by far, Dillon, Lowry (for effort if not results), Names, Miller (how did Stanley get to play ahead of this guy? Mind boggling), Perfetti. Connor worked harder than usual but is a perimeter player. Same with Scheifele, who was okay but not effective enough for a top line centre. At the very bottom were Pionk (horrible, terrible, no good, very bad), Helle (I’m surprised he was so ineffective), Vilardi (Mr. Invisible who is painfully slow), Appleton. Need to transition to the new core by trading players and replacing Chevy and the coaches.

Exactly my thoughts. Last year Brossoit outplayed Hellebuyck in the playoffs. Jets should trade Helle to Leafs for Nylander or anywhere for a number 1 defenceman. Ehlers should be gone too and maybe even Scheifele. Start fresh, they weren’t built to win in the playoffs. Total failure.

I said if they lost game 3, they’d lose the series. Helle did face a lot of shots but as you guys said, he didn’t make the difference. If only we could replay the series (hypothetically) with LB and his play off success to see what would happen. If nothing else, the team has more play off experience which should be beneficial next year. Thanks for the shows K&R!!

Losing play off games in 4 straight after the first one doesn't give them experience just more ineptitiude. It just shows you how little the regular season means - nothing. And although they did play much better in the last game, too little too late, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

To me it would be a farce for Helle to win the Vezina, the reg season doesn't mean squat, you need to keep it going and step it up in the playoffs. We are screwed with him, he is definitely not a playoff goalie, he has proven that once again. Enough of the BS that the score would be worse. An inferior goalie across the rink beat him out in the playoffs again. He is not a god as most people think.

Anybody blaming the goalie when the team scored 2 goals a game and didn’t play like they did at all during the regular season has no clue at all. 5th best team in the nhl. We didn’t see that team. I love Pionks intensity and compete level but he seems to consistently make mistakes that result in2 on 1s and goals in his own net. Whenever he is out there I cringe waiting for make a bad pinch or some other fopaw

Why is Helly the one everyone is got the hate on for? The team was Swiss cheese against the AVS. They sliced and diced the jets. Time to let demelo, Dillon go. Put some youth in. Need to trade out a forward and put some youth in. Toff was terrible. He was hurt or something. Just no jump like he had when he got here.

Bones keeps stating the obvious, 2 years in a row. JETS players are not realizing the type of play it takes to go far and win in the play offs. EVERY game you have to lay it all on the line, in stead they just lay down.

Paul maurice is moving on. Enough said. Jets need major changes on the backend. Poink demelo need to be gone replaced by actual puck moving faster dmen. I don’t think 37 is the best goalie, he cannot elevate his game in playoffs. May I add LB out dueled him last year. Now gorgi did it who had a lower stats going into the playoffs. Helly could’ve made several saves. They simply need bugger dmen to clear the front of the net. Most of avs goals was because traffic in front and a wrist shot bang into the net. I was all about put in LB in after game 3 and let 37 rest. They paid the price not doing it

How many more "learning experiences" does the core need? Two years not competitive in the first round. There is more than enough playoff experience in this core where they should know how to win by now if they actually had it in them. This organization is a joke. Fans talking like third and fourth line players would have made a difference is laughable. The top guys like 81 27 disappeared. Monahan and Toffoli didn’t deliver. Small puck moving D men who can’t move a man in front of the net or a puck out of the zone doesn’t work. Promoting arneil is a mistake but Chipman is a loyal clown who runs this team like a church picnic. Need new blood and proven winners. Guys who hate to lose not guys who want to win. Zero toughness up front and a GM who has mismanaged contracts and has no clue what to do to fix his core is inexcusable. Make changes or expect a lot of empty seats next year Mark.
