I’m 46 years old and I’ve been rejected and pushed aside but I’m not innocent either, I’ve hurt a man before and asked for forgiveness because I didn’t love him but I loved people who didn’t have an interest in me only used me for opportunity, I have prayed and asked for forgiveness for what I’ve done and the parts I’ve played in things, I just pray before I leave this life that I do find someone that I can be blessed and happy with for the rest of my life, I hope God willing that marriage is in the cards for me even when I turn 50.

I have somewhat of a similar history. I always considered myself a tortured soul because of how much hurt I've experienced. And the kicker is that I followed all of the "rules" and never chased guys; never moved too fast and spotted the red flags. Yet, I still ended up being lead on and rejected. Then the ones who probably would be great to me don't hold my interest. It's not worth being with someone just because they seem like a sure thing. You have to be attracted to them and want to return that love to them that they give to you. Maybe going through all of this means that we are being prepared for the right one, at the right time, that will last for the rest of our lives no matter how old we are. I don't have all of the answers but I always think there is a reason for everything that happens.

You are so right.My ex-husband treaded.me like a dog after I got sick.Inbsicknwss and in health was alien he told Mind you I was on bed rest from 5 months until delivery with he's only child.The day after my baby was born one month early my best friend my grandmother died. I went into a deep depression. it was postpartum on top of grieving very hard.He cheated and left me.Let the house me and the 5 five kids lived in get foreclosed on.Evently he married the side chick.Therw was much more. But what I've learned is God never left my side.Im stronger and better.Im wiser.Ive learned to never dim my light for an insecure man.Some of us do this at times to make a man feel good .A real man will love your strand add to it.So it was another lesson I learned. Even as we age remember we're never to old to learn. Now all of the kids are grown .It's my time. I'm enjoying living my way.Iask for nobody's permission. God is good and that's who I need to please.At 50 it's true what I remember hearing on an Oprah show from the panel of woman this age,you don't play games with men.Its true. I'm dating again and when they come with their stories I walk away

Fear is enough to make a child keep quiet even from the person(s) that could potentially save them. This sticks with you forever even if you've "healed". Judge Faith said it! She said it's hard to fall in love at a certain age because you've been through it all, I can top that, I can't even imagine falling in Love and I'm also very very content with my 3-year "drive by"(who is bout 13 years my Jr) there comes to "Visit" me couple times a week, we have crazy chemistry and lots of fun, yet, I have absolutely no interest what he does on the outside of my door.... I have no stress, and no drama, it works for me, and in case you're wondering Im probably close to 10 years older than Tamron and Faith, late 50s..... One other thing I like to mention, her some mention the way they were raised, I was raised both my parents 38 years of marriage until my dad died.... Sounds wonderful to those who didn't have that type of childhood, but the part they miss is, since my dad was my mom's one and only, she has zero advice or experience to offer when it comes to men, js. .... btw, just for the record, my views on relationships, I my add, though my experiences have me in burnt out mode, I'm also woman enough to admit that isn't healthy to unpack any of this baggage on another human being

Lord I just wanted to cry when I heard what has happened to KL as I am a 4 time SA survivor as a child. I am now 49 and thank GOD he kept me and I did not destroy myself because of what happened to me. I'm always fascinated how couples can have similar facial features, as these two do. But especially amazing is the way they talk, the cadence in the way they speak is off-the-charts similar. People often do fall in love with, well, themselves in another. I love this interview!! Faith and Kenny are such a beautiful couple!! I love to hear Kenny say how he took his time before dating again. Making sure that he gave hisself time to heal from the past hurt. I think women are good at doing this but most men I know are very quick to move on and start a new relationship when they clearly haven’t healed from the hurt of their last relationship.
