A perfect marriage or relationship is a myth; there's no guaranteed formula. What works for one person may not work for another. However, I've come to understand that there's always a solution to every problem. Five years ago, my wife and I were on the verge of divorce due to marital issues, but we managed to reconcile. It was a difficult time, but we persevered.

Your words hold significant weight, and I earnestly hope my feelings reflect yours. Despite our current separation, I cannot imagine my life without her; my affection for her is profound. I pine for her presence, and I'm ready to take any steps necessary to bring us back together. We've explored various paths, including therapy, in our pursuit of reconciliation.

As I watch this, I understand being able to know who you are as a person. I've been married twice. My first marriage ended In divorce because of infidelity, DV, and a lot of other things. I tried to stay in the marriage but after eight years, I just couldn't do it anymore. To me divorce is like a death and I guess in a way it is. I vowed to never marry again unless the perfect person came along. Well we know that was not going to happen because there are no perfect people. I decided to pray about it and I wrote down all the things I needed to get married again. When the right person came along, I started checking all the boxes. I can say this. When you ask God for something, be specific because I had left some things off of that list. God Blessed me with such a good man until I didn't have to have the things I left off the list. We were married twenty five years but together almost thirty. He passed away in 2015 as I slept beside him.

Wow! Firstly, my condolences to you. Secondly, so it is possible to happily married a third time around? I have been married for almost 19 years and dated my husband for one year, I broke up with him as we dated because I below he didn’t take me seriously, albeit, I loved him at that time. After some months past (even though I asked him not to reach out to him), he informed me that there were new things happening for him, but he said that, I was the one thing missing in his life. I didn’t rush back to him right away but gradually eased back into a relationship, but this time there had to be a purpose in mind. After we both decided to have our daughter and moving in together, it’s been a struggle ever since. Am I happy not by a long shot, and I’m sure he is not happy either. I suggested marriage counseling, but he’s not willing to do the necessary work in our for our marriage to succeed. Now, I am seriously considering divorcing him. Any words of wisdom?

Kenny, Kenny, Kenny!!!! My Spiritual Father, ArchBishop Veron Ashe once said, every issue you have with another individual is ultimately a denied or unrealized issue within Self! You learn yourSelf relating with others!!!

I agree it is very real, and if it’s not addressed it can lead to more mental health issues. One of my nursing positions was in mental health, and in interviewing many, many clients with various diagnoses: bipolar, clinical depression, schizophrenia, drug addiction disorder, ect. The OVERWHELMING majority experienced abuse sexual, physical, and or emotional as a child, and it was never addressed, and their minds went into a downward spiral. And some used drugs/alcohol to mask/hide the mental illness. They were all suffering from PSTD, from the unaddressed trauma and abuse as children.
