The first-ever acoustic performance of the Top Gun hit “Danger Zone” by the great Kenny Loggins! "Danger Zone" was composed by Giorgio Moroder, lyrics by Tom Whitlock, and recorded and released by American singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins in 1986 for the Top Gun soundtrack, published by Columbia Records, and later also used in the sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.
This performance occurred to a small and highly-engaged 100-person audience at the Historic The Church Studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The audience enjoyed a wonderful setlist of some of his biggest hits including “The Real Thing,” “I’m Alright," and a beautiful version of "Celebrate Me Home," featuring Grady Nichols on the saxophone. This exclusive acoustic performance is part of The Church Studio Legacy Concert Series.

@@TheChurchStudio It sure did. Now that I think about it, Kenny actually did an almost all acoustic set back in 2009 called “Legends and Lyrics” with his old buddy Richard Marx. It was a short set but was really well done and also fun to watch. There’s a dvd & a few clips here on YT I believe.

It’s amazing to think that, in the beginning, Kenny was only supposed to do “Playing with the Boys”. But other artists like Bryan Adams, Corey Hart & Toto passed on “Danger Zone”. So then Kenny got offered it, changed a few lyrics and made it an unforgettable hit.

Could it be that the last few years have not been good ? Just like me. Things have gone wrong. Technically for the last 48 years. 24 years ago things went bad then later it got worse. It's been a rough journey so bad that I stopped enjoying life. I used to drink for off and on for 27 years. A got a new job in 2010 , the following year I had some health issues that ached. Alcohol causes problems with certain internal organ. So I gave up drinking. Sober for about 12 years. It's great. I looked back later after I quit and was horrified of what took place. But I am better now don't need it , but the past years have not been great. Then again with these people it could be something different. Me? Trying everything to get through tough times. Time doesn't stop for no one. Not to put a thorn in some side , it was a shock that we lost Eddie Van Halen. Time ?? I wish I could find a time machine and go back to 1987 and rewrite my future. Impossible. I can only get by now with struggles.
