Kenny, I can’t believe you’re here, but since you are, know that if I would to become a singer - hopefully possessing vocal talents on the level of your standard- I would want to get you on a record along with Stevie Wonder and Lisa Keith; that’s how highly I think of you. My father took me to see this movie with him as a child. My parents were just freshly divorced at that time. This movie was a beautiful story between a father and son. My dad loved this movie. As I get older I really appreciate it. This song is so beautiful as well and fits the film perfectly. This last December my dad passed away unexpectedly. Today was his birthday and I looked this song up because it reminds me of him and our bonding during that hard time. I can’t stop tearing up listening to this. ❤️

Those of you that are reading us my dad passed away last month. This song will always be our father and son song. Growing up he and I loved watching Sylvester Stallone movies and this one was one of my favorites and just like Sly in the movie, my dad was an 18 wheeler truck driver as well, the movie reminded me so much of him and the kid that played his son reminded me so much of me. This song will always mean a lot to me and will always make me think of my dad. I miss you and I love you so much Dad.

The greatest thing was people were more genuine, original with their music, film, and everything else!! Nowadays people just copy or remake everybody else's work!! May you all have a great blessed day, stay safe, and god bless!!

Well, I agree this is one of the many feel good movies. The father and son bonding, the death of the mother and the rich vindicative grandfather trying to tear them apart. The father's willingness to sacrifice his own happiness to protect his son and the son discovering his grandfather's treachery and then chasing after his dad. Then the dad overcame his own insecurities and kicking ass. And then taking the prize money and his son and starting their life together. This is a movie that every father and son needs to watch together and especially listening to Kenny Loggins song 'Meet me Halfway'

80's movies with their counterpart 80's soundtracks were second to none. I challenge anyone in this day and age to match that decade. What a time. What a time indeed.

Kenny Loggins was Mr. Soundtrack in the 80's....Over The Top, Footloose, Top Gun...Had the chance to meet him at a private concert I provided security for. I was in charge of backstage and his trailer. He invited me in with the band, had lunch, told me I could raid the fridge or use the facilities if needed so I didn't have to use the porta john. Got to watch his whole show from the stage and forgot just how many hits the man had. Very humble and down to earth. Cool experience.
