Back when men were expected to be men. Gentlemen most the time, yes, we are civilized humans, but every once in a while, you had to fight for your family, or your pride, or survival. Unfortunately we don’t teach boy’s anymore how to be a man. I’ve always loved this song

@aleckx1233 жыл бұрын
Respect M. Kenny Rogers RIP

I noticed his later performances removed the gang r@p€ part and the final bar scene he heavily edits. Also he confessed that he dropped this song from performances only to bring it back later without saying why
@robhollywood6472 жыл бұрын
Kenny Rogers only cut that middle verse from live shows because it's a long song and he is one of those singers who has had so many many hits in order to fit them all in one show, some are cut down. This isn't unusual and not the only song he cut down live. Heck, Elvis Presley cut down songs in live shows for the exact same reason. Not every thing requires an explanation, especially when one is capable of independent thought.

He didn't kill them,just beat the ever loving crap out of them. Love the line about stopping & locking the door.
