Update 9/21/23; My husband passed away in the hospital 6 months ago. A traumatic, horrific experience for both of us and I miss him more each day. We spent the last 20% of our marriage taking care of each other and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. On our 45th Anniversary last Oct. 1, he danced with me in our family room, as I mentioned here. This year? I can’t stay home alone on Oct. 1. I just can’t. So I’ve booked a room for one night in a motel in one of my Happy Places: the Jersey Shore! I don’t care if it rains or even snows(!), I am going there by myself so I can sit on the beach, bury my feet in the cold sand and remember all the wonderful years I had with this man. Perhaps (if the beach is empty) I’ll play Kenny on my phone and I’ll dance with my invisible partner under the umbrella. ❤️

This was our song for 57 yrs. Today is our anniversary but he passed in Jan of this year. We were together 64 yrs. I knew I would marry him the day I met him before he left for the Navy. I never knew I could hurt as 4:22 much as I do now with him gone but I'll see him some day

Lost both of my parents about 10 years ago, and the lyric "The sweetest days I found I found with you" is engraved on their headstone. They were both such fans of this song, and it definitely sums up the decades they were able to spend together. Still listen to this when I'm feeling nostalgic and wanting to celebrate the special people they were. Love you and miss you every day, Mom and Dad!

I too lost my parents. I lost my mother to uterine cancer in 2010 and my father to alsheimer and parkinson in 2013. I hears this fantastic song and I just cry. A 69 year old man who cries. I have my wife of 25 years and in the good and bad times she has always been with me. Love this song,

What an amazing composition, I wish that all of us had that connection with someone during our lives. Kenny's sincere vocal and the lush and lovely instrumentation makes this ones of the best love songs that I have ever heard. Thanks to everyone who was involved in creating this masterpiece!

I can't remember when you weren't there When I didn't care for anyone but you I swear we've been through everything there is Can't imagine anything we've missed Can't imagine anything the two of us can't do Through the years, you've never let me down You turned my life around, the sweetest days I've found I've found with you, through the years I've never been afraid, I've loved the life we've made And I'm so glad I've stayed, right here with you Through the years I can't remember what I used to do Who I trusted, whom I listened to before I swear you've taught me everything I know Can't imagine needing someone so But through the years it seems to me I need you more and more Through the years, through all the good and bad I knew how much we had, I've always been so glad To be with you, through the years It's better every day, you've kissed my tears away As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you Through the years Through the years, when everything went wrong Together we were strong, I know that I belonged Right here with you ... through the years I never had a doubt, we'd always work things out I've learned what love's about, by loving you Through the years Through the years, you've never let me down You've turned my life around, the sweetest days I've found I've found with you ... through the years It's better everyday, you've kissed my tears away As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you Through the years

I lost my wife of 44 years in February 2021, during our courtship & early years of marriage, we had a lot of difficulties & and adversities, but we had 44 years together, which I'm truly grateful for, I wished I had come across this song whilst she was around. I get emotional when I listen to this song. Great song, well written, sung beautifully, Thanks Kenny.

I'm listening, after losing my son, it set me on a journey to find answers for myself, we don't want fame or to be big, we prefer to fly under the radar, we have a very small supportive community on TikTok, and I mean small, no more than 40, we keep eachother going and you don't need to believe to be a part of it ❤ There are still some genuine people who do care, and I'm one of them, so please don't suffer alone ❤

I like to dedicate this song to my ex. This song remind of us. He is happily married & I can’t be happier for him. I got married before he did & been married for 34 years. When certain songs come on I reminisce about old times. He taught me so much in 8 years of relation with him.. in H.S -college. Unlike others couples he took me to museums, ballets, historical places, etc.. we partied and went to movies but I enjoyed learning cultural things. Thankful that I knew him & experienced what love means!
