June 06, 2020 I lost my wife, my best friend, my everything to cancer.. She died in my arms and I miss her every second and everyday! She got her wings now and where ever she is I know she’s is not suffering anymore and happy and she would want me to be the same. Still... it’s hard not having the one who made u feel like u was on top of the world beside u, but I put on my Superman cape and keep pushing fwd! I lost my wife of 13 years to breast cancer in 2011, july 29th . She was such an inspiration to everyone around her!! I am so glad i had the time with her i had. Our son had just graduated highschool. A couple weeks later she was gone. The hardest day of my life was coming home and telling my son his mom wasn't coming home. That was the last day i felt anything in my heart. I still feel sad and depressed to this day. I dont think it will ever go away. This song makes me feel a little better .

My beautiful mother died due to Covid 19 last week, I miss all her calls in the morning checking on me. She was the most amazing person I knew I'm so blessed that in this pandemic over 300 people gathered in a Zoom funeral and spoke how she helped them overcome life and sadness. My wife of 27 years passed away a little over a year ago from MBC she had been breast cancer free for four years when it metastasized into bone cancer. She fought with all her might for a little over three years when she just couldn't anymore. Every time I hear this song I just can't keep the tears from pouring out of my eyes. I am going to be lucky enough to go see Kenny at his first concert in a couple of years on April 23rd at Ray Jay Stadium in Tampa. I know that it could never happen but if he could dedicate this song to my late wife Tammy at the concert it would bring tears of joy to my eyes instead of sorrow. God I miss her but I was so blessed to know her for as long as I did and this song just reminds me of it every time I hear it.

This song works me in one of two ways. Depends on how I want to hear it in the emotional state I am in at the moment. One is missing the man I left in Tennessee (for my own good but I still love him) and the other is missing my mom who fought and lost her battle to lung cancer. We actually got to have her 35 years up to her passing from 9 gunshot wounds and doctors said she wasn’t going to make it. And lastly I love Kenny Chesney…I really love him. The man I left in Tennessee actually worked for one of Kenny’s ex’s and coworkers spoke of it. Somehow I put Kenny and Tennessee into one feeling, one love.

Most definitely! Words can’t express the feeling and emotions that come over me! I cry every time I hear it. Him and I were like the same person except he’s a guy and I’m a girl. He was my person. Sometimes I still feel like he is. We both love the beach and the song just fits what we’re going through in life right now. Most ppl it touches cause they lost someone to death. And while I love the island romance theme of the video, I could easily have seen it being a young father playing catch with his son (and the son now grown looking back), a young lad playing fetch with a young pup (and years later having to say goodbye), or just someone looking back on their faded youth... but in every case, we'd do it all over, because damn it was good. In my late 20's and experienced my first heartbreak this year. He left me. He fell out of love after being together for multiple years. I had my whole life planned with him, we spoke about having and raising future kids, owning a house together, traveling the world, marriage, goals. My whole life stopped when he left me. I didn't know my identity without him. I didn't want to go on without him as sad as it sounds. It's been a rough road to recovery from the depression. But I wouldn't change anything. I've learned so much throughout the process. And I also have so many amazing memories traveling together and just being in love. He treated me like such a queen and princess. And I'll always cherish his respect for me since day 1 and his amazing qualities. It was a wonderful experience for my first relationship. However, one of the things I've learned is that even though you can be in a loving relationship and plan the future, nothing will actually guarantee any of those things from happening. Each individual is their own person and can choose to leave if they please. Yes it's going to be heart wrenching, and confusing but it's their choice and we just have to accept it and move on and take our experiences, memories, and grow from it. Things happen for a reason

"God we were so Alive" The way he sings that line. Took me right back to that evening of dancing in the rain with no music playing nor words being spoken. Just our love growing for one another. Mr Chesney has been in my Top 5 musicians of all time for most of my life. This song is just another example of why he will continue to be on that short list. Love Kenny Chesney, he's an amazing artist with beautiful music. My Grandma loved his music, especially her favorite of his "When the Sun Goes Down ", I played it loud at her funeral for her which was how she always played that song. Thank you Kenny. I love and miss you everyday Mamaw!❤
