Not sure what you mean by "more relevant". Kenny had a huge career in the late 70's and 80's, even bigger than he had with Loggins & Messina. He had all those hits from the movies like Footloose, Top Gun, Caddy Shack, Caddy Shack II, etc. and that was in addition to his individual hits like Forever, Heart to Heart, Don't Fight It (with Steve Perry), and so on.
