Kenny - such wise words - about not personalizing the inconvenience caused by partner. We rather have to recognize it’s coming from lack of something that this person needs - that could be not being heard, feeling de-valued, work stress and so much more. Human emotions are way more complex than other animals for sure, but the lesson is very true that their actions speaks of their own struggles and not intended to be personalized.

Hearing and watching you do a podcast is ultimately a treat. I feel connected each time I listen to you and I’ve listened to ALL of it. I’m hands down in love with how you put your thoughts into legit words because for a person like me that takes a lot of skill. Coming to your stand-ups, I can’t count the number of times I’ve rewatched all of your YT vids, clips, sketches, netflix/prime specials. It’s primarily a huge getaway for me. I admire your observational humour. That level of creativity only you can possess Kenny. You’ve made a difference in my life and I’m sure it’s the same for many. I've come back to simpleken after a really long time and it was such a treat! Funny how you find things just at the right time sometimes. I remember when I first tuned in (I think it was the second episode when Kanan first made his appearance - don't quote me on it - and he was super sceptical about your 'podcast' at the time) and I find myself in my parents' room during just in the early stages of the lockdown. It's hard to believe that it's been 3 years since then cause that's a really long time. Anyway, just a message from one of your very old listeners to say this was lovely :) Very happy that you're going for a separate channel and getting produced! Cheers!

Lmao Kenny was right, Shamik did start opening up around the 32-40 minutes mark :P Also, congratulations on the 3 years of Simple Ken, Kenny! I remember when it first came out, I was in the middle of my finals and I watched the first episode in 10 minute segments during the breaks. Listening to long recordings of people talking i.e podcasts/collegiate lectures was not something I normally spent my time on owing to the sheer commitment of sitting in one setting for 40+minutes but I was invested in this project simply because I'd been a fan for a very long time (unconditional love). Glad that it's added a lot to my life in terms of acknowledgement that everyone in their 20s, early and late, is going through similar issues. Before the podcast, it was my understanding that as comics, you probably had your life figured out to the dot because to go up on stage and joke about the macro and microscopic things requires a lot of introspection and a very hd quality of clarity on life which I believed gave you the solutions or the ability to manage these baseline problems. But through these LROUTs (long recordings of you talking), you touched on topics like mental health (failing and thriving), the eerie domain of relationships and the struggles, introvert vs extroverts debate, early childhood and reminiscences, privacy and self boundaries, physical health and why you should do it, being passionate about something, not being passionate about something and still finding ways for that work and ofc, how dating in a workplace is bad :P However, I think my highlight was always your acceptance that sometimes you didn't know the answer and that was fine. We know a bunch of facts on this topic, we will properly layer them out and discuss/debate on it, do some practice questions and maybe we won't come up with an answer that is classified as right/wrong or will satisfy the majority but the only acceptable thing is moving forward and creating a trajectory based on what we have analyzed. Thank you for the time that you spend on these LROUTs, I believe it must take a ton of coordination with all the other comics and their bizzare timelines and getting them altogether in the same space and making them feel comfortable. Super excited for the future of Simple Ken!
