You know, I've literally been a practitioner of Kenpo karate for 25 years... and I have in a diligent rabbit hole spelunker when it comes to martial arts videos online. I am not even a quarter of the way through this video I am realizing how gifted and imaginative sifu planas is as a practitioner and a teacher. What a gem.

I know what you mean. I’ve been out of it for too long and am trying to re-teach myself the material. There’s no Parker Kenpo here so all I have is the utbes. Some good stuff out there (and really bad). But Planus is the best in detail and explanations. My instructors were excellent but I wish I could have studied w Huk as well.

Really love this technique! Succinct instruction as well. Kinda blew my mind holding on to the wrist and wedging yourself behind the shoulder. Just a world of exploration available there. Great stuff.

Why did you put your name next to Ed Parker’s in such a way so as to make people think you co founded the system when it is widely recognized that Ed Parker created the system not YOU?

It clearly says “Ed Parker’s Kenpo/Huk Planas lineage” Anyone familiar with Kenpo understands what that means.

@@zalsat16 That is where we disagree. By putting his name there IT IS IMPLIED. That is exactly my point. His name has absolutely NO business being there . If you agree then explain why the name Plannas is even mentioned?????

@@zalsat16 Too much name riding in Kenpo. Everyone wants to put their name next to Ed Parker’s as if they shared in his accomplishments. By putting his name next to Ed Parker the way YOU DID , YOU IMPLIED that Plannas was a co creator I simply pointed out what you implied. Don’t get it twisted and play victim here and say I implied anything. You communicated that all by yourself. I simply pointed it out . Get it straight
