Great explanations and beautiful outcome, how long did all of this take from start to finish. How many different color bowls of color did you mix? At my salon we are given 2.5 to 3 hrs max for a balayage/ highlight appointment. Clients see these photos on Instagram and they want it for themselves. Given the little time we have it’s hard replicate this.
@Unkn0wn11332 жыл бұрын
Same here. At the salon I work at in small town people arent used to paying for 4-6 hour colours and they bring in these photos expecting you to do it in an hour or two and charge max 160
@timschulze4162 Жыл бұрын
We here also only have 2.5 hrs to make balayages. I use open air techniques whenever I can, but with darker levels the lift is way too warm🫠

Fantastic tutorial .l just question why you use 30vol on the previous lightened hair ? In my color line we would use less strength developer, not more . Is there a reason for this ? The result was beautiful BTW.

The bonder brings the 30vol down to a 20vol I think

whats the difference between v shape, backcoming and painting? is this baliage or highligjts? what is a shadow root? thank u!!
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Mazzy! Painting in a V shape helps to create depth and contrast in an overall look. Backcombing helps to soften the contrast and create more of a seamless blend. Highlights are anything that helps brighten a portion of the hair without lightening it all over, and balayage is the freehand process of lightening the hair without the use of foils, papers, caps, etc. A shadow root is where a slightly darker color is applied at the base to create depth. We hope this helps!
@mazzystar53422 жыл бұрын
@@KenraProfessional so u dont foil backcombed/painted balayage? u dont need the foils?
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Technically, a traditional balayage does not need foils and the lightener is only painted on the hair. For traditional balayage, we recommend Simply Blonde Clay Lightener because it has a kaolin clay in the formula that dries on the outside while staying wet on the inside, allowing the hair to process and lift without having to worry about product transferring to other hair. However, many people like to create a balayaged effect while also utilizing the additional lifting support and incubation of foils. This is called "foilayage." You can create a seemless blend off the scalp and feather the lightener upwards for a lived-in, hair painted look, and then enclose it in a foil to help hair that needs a bit more help lifting. You can absolutely also foil sections that you have previously backcombed. This is the beauty of our industry-- you are the artist and can let your creativity flow however you see fit!

Can you do something on blending a very light natural blonde into a dark color? I nevvver see this type of a client. Everyone is either super dark trying to go light or a dark blonde. But I never see anyone who is natural a 9 or 10 blonde that dyes their hair dark like I do. I have Albinism and trying to find a stylist who knows how to make my hair growout without looking like I'm balding bc of how light my natural hair is, just never happens. :(
@azhaircountess9798 Жыл бұрын
You really can’t avoid the appearance of thinning when darkening your base more than 2 levels. They could weave in darker pieces for you but that is unsustainable because there’s no way to do a proper retouch
