In my opinion kenshi is not one the hardest characters and my first to main in this game since I loved him in mkx and I’ve been able to learn and understand his combo and strings way better than everyone else

Just wanted to reiterate how much this video has helped me . The other guides on yt all are meh. I was able to do combos before but barely and I had no gameplan. This video gave me all the tools I needed to be able to play kenshi. So again thank you for this, I can finally now pull off the 51% combo like 85% of the time now online. Ps. Anyway you could upload some games of you using kenshi. Would love to see your kenshi in some games

Hey I really appreciate the comment! *Guys I swear I didnt pay this guy off for the comment 😆* Im glad I could assist in coming up with gameplans. Alot of times (especially with new release games) newer players get stuck in this idea that cool combos is the end-all-be-all, when in reality getting the hit (and continuing to win Neutral) is debateably more important. Although I dont think I did a very good job covering everything in this video, simply because my knowledge of MK is not nearly as high/indepth compared to my knowledge of the GuiltyGear or BlazBlue series, and also I was in a rush to get the video out as like a "preliminary week1 guide" I haven't really been grinding out MK1 as much as I wouldve hoped, especially with the constant updating/PC port being slow and me lacking competitive friends to play it with, and Im not super hooked on the idea of spamming online ranked. I appreciate you wanting to see some gameplay though, will definitely go and play around a bit myself and see if I can compile some clips hahaha

On the sandwich you can simply do forward 4 into stand 4 and team work immediately afterwards

Nice content.Imo ending into the stance that sets you to sandwich is good when you are cornered or nearly cornered.When you start a conversion midscreen/post mid screen and you have some meters,its good to have corner carry routes,particularly if they have meter if end on sandwich even if you open them up,they will break and you will be cornered.

Good places to use EX Teamwork is to use it immediately after they break and on Sento's last seconds when pressuring will be very short lived

I like the first suggestion actually, since that occurs incredibly commonly when they see sento summon. But part of my reasoning covered in the video addresses the "sento's last seconds" thing; unless you're talking about using it in neutral as a "hope it hits" or to trade with something I still think not spending the meter is more worthwhile in a combo situation when sento's about to expire. Because at least you'll have them on knockdown and you can make one more strike/throw or risky overhead/low play (and go into EX Sento recall which resummons)

I wanna know how to actually spawn sento (Nintendo) cause a lot and a bunch of people forget to talk about nintendo users which is why I can’t get good combos with him

I don't understand your input log on the Sento 3 part of the combo that does 516 damage midscreen, specifically at 6:17. You did something similar earlier in this combo the first time you went with Sento 3 too. Is that some sort of shortcut that makes the execution better?

Hey! I'm not sure what you dont understand about 6:17 ? I'm just mashing the 3 key after dialing Kenshi's Standing4 but also making sure to let go of the Kameo button right before it (which the input log doesn't show, but I held the Kameo button well before my forward dash F2 which is shown in the logs) So I don't think I'm using a shortcut of some kind?

But both times you have Triangle, Square, and X in a row on the button log and the Kameo button, but where is circle?

​@@DaTekkenGodthat's super weird lol I think I know what's happening? I looked at his other combos and he calls out sento with circle... When it should be square. So I think he flipped the two buttons which is why you don't see circle (but you see square)

Hey! Yeah I mixed DB3 with DB4 several times in the recording of this video in hind sight my apologies hahaha Thankfully the 2 moves have obvious differing purposes so it should be clear which ones Im actually referring to in the context, my mistake though

is there any tips to get the sento 3 to stop wiffing after the jump 2, F4 for the 50% in midscreen? it always seems to land slightly short for me

yea this happens to me often too when I first started; I believe the key is to press 3 around when you see the 2nd hit of F4 connect (I think it happens when you press 3 too early, you have to give it that extra few frames to track forwards a little bit. Though I'm not really sure of the science behind it. Give that a crack though)
