Kensington Palace will no longer release details of Princess Catherine’s outfits at public engagements.
The move is reportedly part of her effort to shift focus onto her work rather than her wardrobe.
A palace source told The Sunday Times:"There is an absolute feeling that it is not about what the princess is wearing… but the people and causes she is spotlighting."
Since her wedding to Prince William in 2011, the palace regularly disclosed details of her outfits.
Her fashion choices often led to sold-out items and a global trend known as "the Kate Effect."
Kate has championed British designers such as Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, and Catherine Walker.
Her evolving style has placed her on multiple "Best Dressed" lists over the years.
The shift comes as Catherine returns to public duties following her cancer diagnosis last year.
Now in remission, she recently visited Tŷ Hafan children’s hospice in Wales as its new patron.
She also toured Corgi Factory, a Welsh knitwear manufacturer, but no outfit details were released.
Kensington Palace says the focus should be on "substance, not style”.
