Mr. Brown, you fail to include how Hemp was cultivated as cotton through enslave labor. You speak of pictures of Louisiana docks were filled w/ bags of hemp, does the pictures depict the enslaved workers who put them there. I do appreciate your mentioning Native Peoples relationship w/Hemp was long before European settlers. To be all inclusive in your future films, please include all people who were significant in the production and processing of this magnificent plant. I agree, Hemp has great roots in this country, but please don't forget to include all who had a hand in it's production. Hemp is the Healing of the Nation & the Truth and Inclusiveness of telling the history gives the full picture, not just one side of the story. Peace!

Thank you for your remarks. Witnessing History is planning a full-length documentary on the history of hemp cultivation in America, where of course slavery is central to the story of this versatile crop. We do have historic images of enslaved people working to harvest hemp; these are images the world needs to see. We are seeking financial support for the film from the hemp industry, and are hopeful that it can be produced soon!
