GOOD GRIEF MAN!!!!! NO ONE can convince me that death ends your life, and when I see, or in Kent’s case, HEAR something like this it only strengthens my belief!!! This YOUNG man has obviously had a guitar in his hands for waaaaayyyy more years than his current body has been alive! Both my parents are musicians, which means I was born as one, and after learning and playing many instruments for almost 5 decades now, I can tell you with certainty that even with 8-10 hours a day practicing, it still takes more than 10-15 years to be this mind blowingly good! I’m not sure exactly how old Kent is butt I’m pretty sure he’s not 50 years old!!!! I’m thinking it may take hours and hours, EVERY day for at least 30 years to have the kind of feel, precision and intonation we are witnessing with each post from him! I’ve been here for years and he was just as good when he looked like he was 12!!!!! I would PAY to be able to sit down and talk with this amazing artist! To anyone who doesn’t fully understand…..the human race would be completely lost without artists around to remove the stress and all around horrible stuff we’re all blasted with every day. No one can teach you to be an artist either, it’s something you are born with. If you don’t agree with that, watch this again and look at how easy it is for him to play that! It’s almost as if he isn’t even in control, more like the music is actually manifesting itself and using him as the medium. It’s so amazing I don’t think I can truly impart how blessed we are to be able to watch and/or listen to it any time we want. Magic is real people. Believe that.

God put people like Kent on this earth to touch everyone with their gift. I'm a long time follower and every song he does is perfection. The best part is the amazing transcriptions. That doesn't happen by accident. Also hours of practice, but not as many as it would take for mere mortals like us.

As a guitar player I can't even explain how good this is. To capture the detail of the original song and every nuance of every instrument like Kent does is just amazing. He does this in every song he plays. Also his choices of songs mostly from the 70's always brings a smile to my face as they're the songs I grew up listening to. It's the golden decade of music. Why he doesn't have 4-5 Million Subs at this point is a question for the ages. Unbelievable out of this world talent that everybody who loves music should listen to!

Kent, you were always great BUT your nuanced techniques are becoming even more nuanced and deeper over the years. This comes through clearly on this one. You're like a fine wine now peaking! ❤

So very true David. As a guitarist myself since the 70s, I can certainly pick out, see and appreciate the ever so slight, yet profound intricacies in his playing in this song as his skills keeping improving. He chooses songs that are very well known but are greatly under appreciated and are very technically involved. (Deacon Blues, 25 or 6 to 4 as examples...). And even though this song isn't one of my top Doobie, songs, I have sooooo much respect for how he performed this song!

Ok, this is already a mind bending piece on the Rhodes but I never thought someone would attempt it on a guitar. But of course I forgot about Kent.

I've been around music my entire life, and I'm 48. I have played with some very good pickers, but Kent as young as you are, and play the way you do is just simply mind-blowing. I am completely impressed with every single video that I have watched you play.
