Man, those s'mores looked pretty darn good, I like the circular shape as well, it makes a kind of sense. The only thing that I'm not too sure about is the name of those biscuits, "digestive biscuits", it brings to mind all kinds of foul bodily functions, not what I want to be thinking about when I'm stuffing my face with chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers. You should try it with chocolate graham crackers next time, if you guys have them over there, it's like a s'more to the 10th power.

I'm doing the Two Moors Way in the Spring, possibly end of April, so depends when you are down mate. If it's around that time then I'll be resting and preparing or I'd of already done it and be completely knackered!

For those who aren't survivalists or don't have a fire an unscented candle will work for marshmallows aswell has to be unscented though I tried earlier today so I know it works

Hi Andy. I am catching up on some of your older videos. Do you have Bailey's Irish Cream liqueur in the UK? Try dipping your melted, marshmallows in that, then make your S'more.

Doctor (sounds better when Sarah Jane says it, granted), are you telling us that by 2022 the bacon butty tree has gone extinct? Nooooo! Seriously though, I'm with Mr Kemp and will stick with the (as you so rightly put it) shrinking wagon wheel. However, you are continuing the fine tradition of enjoying camping with a fire. Keep up the good work. And remember: marshmallows are for life, especially on the waistline;)

Nice Andy, been watching a few of your videos, mate. Honest question, why are those biscuits named 'digestive'? I subbed your channel.
@KentSurvival
@KentSurvival 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks :)... I didn't know so searched and found this interesting tit-bit (or tid-bit depending where you are haha) "The digestive was first developed in 1839 by two Scottish doctors to aid digestion at a place called Logie Steading in Forres. The term "digestive" is derived from the belief that they had antacid properties due to the use of sodium bicarbonate when they were first developed."

Thanks, Andy, makes sense. We have a local grocery that carries a small selection of Brittish food items. I'll look and see if they have the digestive biscuits and give your s'more recipe a try for comparison. atb, Gordon

You REALLY NEED to just special order GRAHAM CRACKERS as Digestives are way too thick and not sweet enough.

Not your greatest gastronomical delight, but its good to be different and branch out a bit. i wasn't aware they had a name, iv'e seen it done by using chocolate covered digestives, bit easier than using chocolate chunks. catch you on the next one, and good luck filming that badger. Gary
