I love to hear experts discussing the horses this way. If I were discussing this is what I would say. Derma Sotogake doesn't know, of course, the history of each UAE horse. Nor would it matter. Pletcher had 24 lose this race before he first raised the silver platter. Derma's people knew to come here with time to spare. They were not too keen about popping a horse out of quarantine and into the race. That would be unfair. They know that's no way to win or to save face. It's really sort of mean.
