I am looking to learn more about the 5800 .But I am thinking that you have both UHF and VHF combined .Now I see you playing with all the buttons but you don't really explain what you are doing or why. You would teach more if you spoke more . What I'm looking for is the complete set up from unboxing to connecting the, antenna, power supply, programming, firmware licensing ,software licensing, GMRS settings, 256 bit encryption activation, and code plug definitions.

How did you create your opening splash screen?

Yes, you hear both decks. You can attenuate the other one by 3, 6, or 9db if I recall correctly, but there is no mute on transmit. I do have a deck mute button now though.

can you receive and hear radio traffic from both decks at the same time?

I'm currently getting my 5700 - 5800 set up with the standard control head. Do you end up with two separate scan lists (one for each deck) or does the radio treat it like one pool of frequencies and scan whatever you enter in your scan list as if it's one deck? Also do you know if the separate displays show up on the standard KCH 19 Control head?

Can you scan from both decks at the same time using one head? In my case a basic head?
@malcolmwaring13436 жыл бұрын
The Bullet Vids, I don’t have the basic head, so I can’t answer that one.

I've been trying to research online but striking out. Does this head have a built in speaker?

What is "C" programmed to? how do you see the channel freq. and tones?
@malcolmwaring13435 жыл бұрын
Amir H, I forget what it’s called, but when you set the display to show the single deck, you press C to show frequency/tones etc.

@@malcolmwaring1343 Hi, Is there any way you can check the codepluge and let me know what's C programmed to. I looked everywhere but can't get mine to do what your does! I appreciate it!
@malcolmwaring13435 жыл бұрын

Not worth the money plus the programming sucks anyway on these things
