Where can I find a programming guide for this? I have the cable and program. Thanks

Hello, I purchased a NX-700k this past week and have also acquired the correct programming cable and software. I also have read and writen the radio now and its been working very well. I was wondering about scanning multiple zone frequencies simultaneously, its appears to be able to do that according to the build sheet flyer however I've been unable to figure that out. I can however scan a zone only at one time not all the zones are you able to offer any tips on that by chance? Thank you in advance.

At the moment my NX700 is sitting on a remote hilltop used as a Packet node. But i have other rigs here that i can try reprogramming and get back to you on a solution.
@cnick63 жыл бұрын
AFAIK you can only scan the active zone. Same with my TK-5720.

Does anyone know why my keenwood MX700h keeps turning off when I use the PPT?
@Radionut632 жыл бұрын
More then likely, you have Busy signal PTT lockout turned on and the radio is seeing a signal, it will prevent the radio from transmitting and will also beep. The radio will also beep if the wrong frequency range is enter into programming.

@Radionut63 thanks for the quick reply. It never shut off before but next time I'm home,I'll take a look.the power cable seems fine and truck batteries are good.

May be able to program the "E" version, but depends on how the radio programmed firmware wise, sometimes the program will ignore radios from other countries when it comes to programming them.

@1SnuffySmith4 жыл бұрын
@@MrAdvan86 The files that you are thinking of have the extensions .dat and .srt, no doc or text files. If you have a dat file already made up then yes, you can flash your TK-8160. Just make sure it came from that or another of the same type of radio or it may not take. If you end up having to build your own channel sets be sure to save it as a .dat file on your computer and backup on a stick. It's always handy as an option if you screw up in subsequent mods.

Can you program a kenwood on a GMSR frequency
@Radionut633 жыл бұрын
it is possible.. yes. :-)
@natspublicfilmingrights69903 жыл бұрын
But would still need a ham license to buy the radio still if I were to use it just on a gmsr frequency
@Radionut633 жыл бұрын
Legally you would not be allowed to use this type radio on GMRS regardless if you have a amateur license or not, because this radio is not type accepted to be used for that purpose.. So the answer to your question is NO and NO.
