I was surprised how much that feature is overlooked. 200 commands of your favorites is a big deal. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Thanks, Mike! Icoms have this feature as well. In the Icom To select menu, it is called "Your call sign" I will make a video for that with the ID 51. Since the Icom line does not have a menu command built in to link to XRF, DCS, and XLX, it's the perfect place to store those commands in the Icom radios.

Thanks for video. Although the connect to Tampa repeater works, the subsequent command to kinkto reflector 30C does not. I suppose tbere is something on the OpenSpot side that you might have setup, I did not.

I am loving you very informative videos! I have been looking for an aftermarket antenna(for 220) and haven't seen the one you are using. What is the model of your antenna? Thank you sir!

Great Video. I went through it again today and picked out everything. Question: Can I delete any of the 200 individual entries and how do I do it. I have a bunch of stuff in there that I do not want. Thanks Frank!!

Great question. I have tried deleting commands from menu 220. Oddly I can only add new or edit existing data. I cannot find any way delete any commands. I even tried to edit the commands with all the letters erased with the clear key and even the space key and When I hit the write key I get a warning response saying "required info are not entered". It seems impossible to erase these from the radio. They can be changed, but not erased. I suspect the only way to do a full erasure is with the software like RT Systems. I will do an inquiry into this in D74 discussion circles and see if I get any further knowledge.

I added modified and deleted entries via the software. Go to the individual section there.

My question is does this work for hotspots and repeaters?
@k9wlwradio309
@k9wlwradio309 4 жыл бұрын
The linking to other Dstar repeaters does work. Most DStar repeaters are not connectable to XRF, DCS, or XLX Reflectors. But they almost all can connect to any REF Reflectors or any other individual DStar repeater.

Hello, Jon. To better answer your question, please clarify a couple things for me. 1. Are you using a repeater, or a hotspot? 2. Are you using A Kenwood THD74 or another Dstar radio?. I can better answer your question with those specifics spelled out. Thank you for your watching and your question. I await your reply.
