Let me say this about low torque engine 65 mph @1500 rpm wow! and the gas mileage is there when I'm in a hurry and pushing I drove 11 hrs and burned 85 gallons, but most days it around 50 gallons. But shifting at 1400 is lugging that motor some and scary slow in some situation and damn hard to catch a green light in town. I sometimes try and hold third and 4th till 2000 rpm so the slow sucker gets out of its own way. and I know its got drive by wire because there is some serious lag at take off, scary lag, like get your ass run over lag. like pounding the steering wheel screaming come on bitch, lag. the Mack auto shift is fast as hell no lag at all. empty you beat cars off the line. pulls like a house on fire. best auto shift out there bar none. I expected more from Eaton but it could be worse I guess. I love auto shift as I trashed my left knee several yrs ago. I can still drive a stick but its no fun anymore.
