Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda where all under East African community and had a joint air line known as East African airways whose head quators where in Nairobi, Uganda was the head of postal service and civil aviation academy, Tanzania was the in charge of military arminition. However, in 1987 the EAC colupsed and Kenya seized the air crafts hence started Kenya airways and became strong both in aviation and railway. With Uganda, Uganda became a master of training aviation pilots at soroti flying school and a champion of postal services till date. Tanzania who was the home of EAC military arminition remained so, so strong to the extent Mwalimu Juleous Nyerere of Tanzania managed to use some of the guns to expell field marshal gen Idd Amin Dada in 1979 and believe me or not by the time Amine was expelled Uganda airlines had 36 air crafts bought by Amin using coffee money from Iraq, and Kenya airways had 4 air. its only that Uganda airlines aircrafts and business diminished during the current government, it realised how important the aviation sector is, hence doing its restructuring, we can give them time may be than fixing comparison at a tender stage.

Why would you compare Kenya Airways with Uganda Airways. That is not a fair comparison. Uganda is way behind Kenya in Aviation. How about Kenya Airways with Ethiopian Airlines. That would be a far much better video. If Kenya Airways can manage the Airports in Kenya, end her alliance with KLM, under the new restructuring plan and have another bailout, from the Kenyan Tax Payer, as well as restructure the debt then maybe Kenya Airways may catch up with Ethiopian Airways. JKIA definitely needs to be rebuilt ground up. They had a good plan to build a new airport, but they shelved the idea as it was too expensive. Well if you want to be a regional hub with 30 million passengers annually, you will certainly need a new airport. JKIA is a 1960s style, embarrassment for Kenya. This is not the home of the “Pride Of Africa” So go ahead Kenya 🇰🇪 sell another Euro Bond and raise $2billion and built you a brand new Airport and you will get the 30 million passengers you want. Don’t forget to order another 2-3 dozen dream liners and Ethiopian Airlines will be playing Second Fiddle to the Pride. Airlines are an expensive business. They rarely make money. The purpose of an Airline is to bring millions of people to your country and these people help your economy by spending money and investing in your country. A profit making Airline is as rare as a bald eagle 🦅 This is about prestige and directing traffic to your country. Shalom.

The comperission was done immaturity because the Uganda airlines air bus hadn't been delivered and at the moment Uganda has received one air bus so far, next time try finding out bet8the two which one started first and how the all started. Because kenya air ways started after the collups of East African community and they seized the planes of East African community hence established the Kenya air ways but Uganda airlines was purchased from the industry using tax payers money and its not on Grant airline like Kenya air ways.
